White House Dismisses Claims That DOGE Leaked Classified Information as ‘Hoax’

The Biden-era media machine is at it again, fabricating another baseless scandal to attack the Trump administration. This time, their target is the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which has been falsely accused of leaking classified information an allegation that has already been debunked.

The manufactured controversy started with HuffPost, which breathlessly reported that DOGE, under the leadership of entrepreneur Elon Musk, had posted secret details about the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) on its website. Their primary source? An unnamed Defense Intelligence Agency employee and “anonymous Senate aides.”

Of course, mainstream media outlets like ABC News and The Daily Beast quickly picked up the story, while Senator Tim Kaine (D-VA) jumped in with his own hysterical response, claiming on Fox News that DOGE was recklessly leaking sensitive data.

But here’s the problem: The information in question is already publicly available.

• The so-called "classified" data came directly from the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), which publishes workforce numbers for federal agencies.

• DOGE explicitly states that its workforce figures are pulled from OPM’s publicly available data sets.

• Former House investigator Jerry Dunleavy pointed out that OPM has publicly listed NRO’s headcount as 1,097 employees exactly the same number DOGE reported.

Even the White House was forced to set the record straight, with Principal Deputy Communications Director Alex Pfeiffer confirming that this was simply a case of reformatted public data, not a security breach.

So why is the media running with yet another false narrative? The answer is simple: They are desperate to discredit the Trump administration.

This isn’t about classified data it’s about a coordinated effort to smear anything connected to President Trump. With an election on the horizon, the left is recycling its tired playbook of manufactured scandals, hoping something will stick.
