Democrat Senator Demands Return of Deported MS-13 Suspect
Chris Van Hollen threatens to fly to El Salvador to advocate for alleged gang member while Americans suffer at home.

Senator Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) just gave America a crystal-clear view into the Democrat Party’s twisted priorities and it’s not pretty.
While families across the country grapple with rising crime, fentanyl pouring through open borders, and communities plagued by illegal gang violence, Van Hollen has decided his top concern is getting an alleged MS-13 gang member back into the United States. Yes, you read that right.
The Democrat senator declared Monday that unless the deported suspect, Kilmar Abrego Garcia, is returned from El Salvador by midweek, he’ll hop on a plane himself to “check on his condition.” According to Van Hollen, the Trump administration “abducted and illegally deported” Garcia a man accused of being connected to one of the most brutal gangs in the Western Hemisphere.
The gang is responsible for countless murders, assaults, and acts of torture across U.S. cities.
In 2018 alone, ICE arrested over 1,300 MS-13 members many of whom had entered the country illegally.
FBI reports have labeled MS-13 as a top transnational threat, with ties to drug trafficking and human smuggling.
Yet, here we have a U.S. senator threatening to make a diplomatic scene not for an American citizen unjustly detained abroad, but for a foreign national accused of gang affiliation.
El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele, currently visiting the U.S., responded with exactly the level-headed clarity that Van Hollen lacks: “How can I smuggle a terrorist into the United States?” Bukele said flatly, underscoring that he has no intention of facilitating the suspect’s return.
Meanwhile, the Biden administration has failed to explain why they’re defending someone linked to a group the Trump administration properly designated as a foreign terrorist organization. White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller made it clear: the deportation was justified, and any legal claims Garcia’s lawyers are trying to lean on are null, outdated, and irrelevant given MS-13’s terror designation.
Over 100,000 Americans died last year from drug overdoses, largely driven by substances trafficked across our porous border.
Violent crimes committed by illegals, many with gang affiliations, continue to surge in Democrat-run cities.
Average Americans are watching their neighborhoods erode while D.C. elites fight for criminals' "rights."
Rep. Mary Miller (R-IL) nailed it when she said, “Young girls are being abused, Americans are being killed, and our communities are being overrun by illegals and Democrats like Chris Van Hollen are busy fighting for people who shouldn’t even be here.”
At a time when law-abiding Americans are begging for safety, security, and real leadership, Democrats are obsessing over how to fly gang members back into the country.
