U.S. Hits Houthis Hard in Major Airstrike Campaign
Trump intensifies military pressure on Iran-backed terrorists as attacks on Israel and global shipping escalate.

The United States unleashed a new wave of airstrikes over the weekend targeting cities in Yemen held by the Iran-backed Houthi militia, signaling a clear shift in U.S. military posture under President Trump. After months of unchecked aggression from the Houthis including missile attacks on Israel and assaults on global shipping America is finally hitting back with force.
The air campaign, which began Friday and carried into Saturday, hit key targets in the Houthi-controlled capital of Sanaa, as well as in the governorates of al-Jawf and Saada. Houthi-run media, notorious for propaganda and casualty underreporting, claimed at least one civilian death and four injuries. But make no mistake: Houthi militants regularly use civilians as shields and often dress in civilian clothing, blurring the lines intentionally.
These latest strikes came just a day after U.S. forces obliterated the Houthis’ general command headquarters a bold and necessary escalation that shows Trump means business.
Key developments:
Since November 2023, the Houthis have attacked over 100 commercial vessels in the Red Sea region, putting global trade and maritime lives at risk.
Eight ballistic missiles have been fired by the Houthis at Israel since March 18, with several intercepted by Israel’s advanced missile defense systems.
On Thursday, the Houthis targeted the USS Harry S. Truman, a U.S. Navy aircraft carrier, continuing their reckless provocations.
Unlike the weak and indecisive approach under Joe Biden which focused only on limited strikes against missile launch sites President Trump has expanded the campaign to include high-value military targets, top commanders, and command infrastructure. It's a clear return to peace through strength.
The Houthis, emboldened by years of leniency and armed by Tehran, have acted with impunity for too long. Their alignment with Hamas and attacks on Israel only confirm their position as a terror proxy of the Iranian regime. Now, they’re finally facing the consequences.
This isn't just about Yemen. It's about defending American interests, protecting Israel, and restoring stability to a vital global shipping route. And it's proof that when the U.S. projects power, enemies take notice.
