Ukraine Strikes Moscow With Massive Drone Attack During Peace Talks

As U.S. officials push for negotiations, Ukraine escalates with its largest drone assault yet.

While U.S. officials worked to broker a ceasefire in Saudi Arabia, Ukraine launched its largest drone attack yet against Moscow, escalating tensions and raising questions about Kyiv’s commitment to peace.

The Tuesday assault involved 343 drones, with Russian officials reporting that three civilians were killed and 17 others injured. The attack temporarily shut down four Moscow airports and struck residential buildings, according to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

  • 343 drones targeted Russia, making it the largest assault on Moscow to date.

  • Russia responded with 126 drones and a ballistic missile attack on Ukraine.

  • President Trump has expressed frustration with Russia's continued offensives but is also weighing sanctions to push both sides toward peace.

The strikes come as Secretary of State Marco Rubio leads U.S.-moderated peace talks in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Despite initial resistance from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, recent meetings suggest Kyiv may be softening its stance after a tense confrontation with Trump last month.

The question remains Is Ukraine serious about peace? While the Biden administration blindly funneled billions into Ukraine with no strategy, Trump has made it clear that endless war is not an option. His administration is working to negotiate an end to the conflict, but Zelensky’s latest military escalation threatens to derail those efforts.

America must stand for peace, not open-ended conflict. If Ukraine wants U.S. support, it needs to come to the table in good faith.
