Trump pushes for full peace agreement as Zelensky heads to White House
After high-stakes Putin summit in Alaska, Trump moves swiftly to broker end to Russia-Ukraine war with trilateral talks.

President Donald Trump is moving full steam ahead toward ending the war in Ukraine not with another fragile ceasefire, but with a comprehensive peace agreement.
Early Saturday morning, Trump announced that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will visit the White House on Monday for high-level peace talks following Trump’s historic summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Anchorage, Alaska. The back-to-back diplomacy signals Trump’s intent to broker the kind of deal globalists and bureaucrats spent years failing to achieve.
“A great and very successful day in Alaska!” Trump posted on Truth Social. “The meeting with President Vladimir Putin of Russia went very well, as did a late night phone call with President Zelenskyy… President Zelenskyy will be coming to D.C., the Oval Office, on Monday afternoon. If all works out, we will then schedule a meeting with President Putin.”
Unlike the endless rhetoric from the Biden administration and NATO’s paper-pushing elite, Trump is cutting through the noise leveraging U.S. strength to bring both sides to the table.
This will be Zelensky’s first return to the White House since a tense Oval Office meeting in February with Trump and Vice President JD Vance, which ended abruptly after sharp disagreements over U.S. strategy in the region. But now, with Putin signaling openness and Zelensky himself endorsing Trump’s trilateral approach, the prospect of a real breakthrough is on the horizon.
“President Trump informed about his meeting with the Russian leader and the main points of their discussion. It is important that America’s strength has an impact on the development of the situation,” Zelensky said.
“We support President Trump’s proposal for a trilateral meeting between Ukraine, the USA, and Russia… key issues can be discussed at the level of leaders.”
While critics in the media continue to obsess over Trump’s direct diplomacy, Americans see what matters: results. In less than a year back in office, Trump has already made more progress toward ending this war than the Biden administration managed in three.
Let’s not forget:
Biden funneled over $175 billion to Ukraine without any roadmap for peace.
NATO’s promises have only escalated tensions, not resolved them.
Over 500,000 people have died or been wounded in this conflict, and Biden’s team offered nothing more than blank checks and failed summits.
Trump, by contrast, is pushing for a real peace agreement not a shaky ceasefire that could unravel within weeks.
“It was determined by all that the best way to end the horrific war between Russia and Ukraine is to go directly to a Peace Agreement, which would end the war, and not a mere Ceasefire Agreement, which often times do not hold up,” Trump wrote. “Potentially, millions of people’s lives will be saved.”
Following the Putin summit, Trump admitted that “there’s no deal yet,” but emphasized that “a lot of progress” was made. A trilateral summit could be the next crucial step.
The contrast with the previous administration couldn’t be clearer. Biden’s foreign policy failures gave us emboldened dictators, alienated allies, and global instability. Trump is now cleaning up that mess with strength, clarity, and leadership the world hasn’t seen in years.
For the first time in a long time, peace looks possible and it’s because America finally has a president who means business.
