Trump Orders Blockade of Venezuelan Oil Tankers
As Biden appeases tyrants, Trump cracks down on socialist regimes financing crime and chaos.

President Donald Trump isn’t mincing words or pulling punches. In a decisive move to counter the growing threat from the illegitimate socialist regime in Venezuela, Trump has ordered a “total and complete blockade” of sanctioned oil tankers moving in and out of the country. The former president made the announcement Tuesday night on Truth Social, promising that America won’t be looted by foreign thugs while Biden sits idly by.
“Venezuela is completely surrounded by the largest Armada ever assembled in the History of South America,” Trump wrote. “It will only get bigger, and the shock to them will be like nothing they have ever seen before.”
This marks a dramatic escalation in Trump's ongoing effort to cut off funds to Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro, who has for years propped up his collapsing regime by selling stolen oil to the highest bidder mostly China. In fact:
Over 80% of Venezuela’s oil exports are now flowing to Chinese buyers, despite U.S. sanctions.
Venezuela’s socialist regime is backed by drug cartels, prison gangs, and terror networks like Cartel de los Soles and Tren de Aragua.
The Trump administration has already taken out more than 20 cartel-operated drug boats in the region in a show of force that dwarfs anything Biden has done.
What Biden has allowed to fester, Trump is shutting down. The blockade targets tankers connected to Venezuela’s state-owned oil company, PDVSA, which Maduro uses to launder money, smuggle drugs, and traffic humans. Trump didn't hold back: “The Venezuelan Regime has been designated a FOREIGN TERRORIST ORGANIZATION.”
Even more damning, Trump exposed how the Maduro regime has flooded the United States with illegal aliens and criminals under the nose of the Biden administration’s failed border policies. While Biden and Kamala Harris hand-wring over “root causes,” Trump is actively securing our nation.
Despite U.S. sanctions, companies like Chevron continue limited operations in Venezuela under Treasury waivers. Chevron insists it remains “in compliance” with existing laws, but how long that will hold under Trump's renewed pressure is anyone's guess.
Meanwhile, Trump’s efforts have international implications. Belarus' dictator Alexander Lukashenko has offered Maduro safe haven, clearly fearing that Trump’s campaign to bring him to justice may actually succeed. The Trump administration previously placed a $50 million bounty on Maduro’s arrest for his role in drug trafficking and terrorism.
Let’s be clear: This is what strong leadership looks like identifying real threats, cutting off their funding, and taking action. While Joe Biden trips over sandbags and emboldens tyrants from Tehran to Caracas, Donald Trump is laying down the law.
This move isn’t just about oil it’s about protecting American sovereignty, restoring order to our hemisphere, and sending a message to every foreign regime that the days of robbing the United States with impunity are over.
