Trump Signs Executive Orders to Roll Back Biden-Era Changes

The 45th president wastes no time dismantling Biden’s damaging legacy.

President Donald Trump has officially returned to the Oval Office, and he’s wasting no time undoing the damage left by the Biden administration. In a move that underscores his commitment to restoring American prosperity, Trump signed a flurry of executive orders Monday night inside the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. This unconventional location served as a backdrop for Trump’s re-inauguration, moved indoors due to freezing weather.

Here’s a breakdown of Trump’s decisive first steps to undo the mess of the last four years:

  • Rescinding Biden’s Orders: Trump immediately canceled 78 executive orders from Joe Biden’s presidency. These orders, many of which were tied to overregulation and reckless spending, symbolized the failed policies of the Democratic leadership.

  • Exit from Paris Climate Accords: One of the most notable orders reversed the U.S. commitment to the Paris Climate Accords, an international agreement rooted in expensive green initiatives. Trump called this move a “win for American taxpayers,” estimating it would save over a trillion dollars in unnecessary spending.

  • Federal Hiring and Regulatory Freeze: Trump announced a freeze on federal hiring and regulations, a critical step to rein in government bloat while ensuring a smooth transition for his new administration.

  • Protecting Free Speech: In a bold move, Trump signed an executive order targeting government censorship of free speech, signaling his administration’s intent to preserve the First Amendment against mounting attacks.

  • Tackling Inflation: Trump ordered all federal departments to address inflation, a crisis exacerbated by Biden’s $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan, which sent the economy spiraling into a period of crippling price hikes.

Speaking to the crowd as he signed the orders, Trump couldn’t help but point out the stark contrast between his leadership and his predecessor’s. “Could you imagine Biden doing this? I don’t think so,” he quipped to roaring applause.

Trump’s night didn’t end there. He returned to the White House, where he is expected to sign more than 200 additional executive orders aimed at dismantling Biden’s policies and restoring common-sense governance.

America’s path forward under Trump is already taking shape, and it’s clear that his administration is determined to steer the country back to stability, strength, and freedom.
