Trump Expands Travel Ban to Palestinians and Terror Hotspots Amid Global Attacks
White House takes bold action to protect Americans as jihadist violence surges worldwide.

President Donald Trump on Tuesday expanded the U.S. travel ban, adding multiple countries including Palestinian territories in a sweeping move to combat rising global terrorism and safeguard national security.
The new restrictions, detailed in a White House proclamation, ban travelers from Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, South Sudan, Syria, and any individuals carrying travel documents from the Palestinian Authority. The update follows a wave of deadly attacks linked to jihadist networks including an ISIS-inspired massacre of Jews celebrating Hanukkah on a Sydney beach and the killing of two American soldiers in Syria.
“The United States must exercise extreme vigilance… to identify, prior to their admission… foreign nationals who intend to harm Americans or our national interests,” the president’s proclamation stated.
The White House emphasized that the move is rooted in the administration’s unwavering commitment to protect the homeland, especially as Islamist extremism continues to claim innocent lives around the world.
This marks the latest addition to an already robust travel ban list that includes:
Afghanistan, Somalia, Yemen, Iran, and Libya
Several African nations with histories of instability and weak vetting systems
Countries like Venezuela and Cuba, where authoritarian regimes pose serious intelligence and espionage risks
Why it matters now:
The action follows the ISIS-inspired massacre in Sydney, where two terrorists opened fire on a Jewish community gathering, killing 15.
Just days before the expansion, two U.S. Army soldiers and an American interpreter were killed by ISIS in Syria.
And last month, an Afghan migrant welcomed into the U.S. under Biden’s "Operation Allies Welcome" allegedly gunned down two National Guardsmen in Washington, D.C. One of them, Specialist Sarah Beckstrom, tragically died of her injuries.
These are not isolated incidents they are part of a growing pattern of jihadist resurgence and international coordination, with sleeper cells and radicalized migrants now viewed as urgent threats by national security officials.
“The United States Government must ensure that admitted aliens do not intend to threaten its citizens… or support designated foreign terrorists,” the proclamation continued.
Critics on the Left predictably cried foul, accusing the administration of “xenophobia” and “discrimination.” But that’s become their tired, default response to any policy that prioritizes American lives over globalist virtue signaling.
Meanwhile, Americans are still mourning the deaths of soldiers like Beckstrom a 20-year-old West Virginia National Guard specialist who volunteered to serve her country only to be ambushed by a so-called “refugee” welcomed into the country under Biden’s broken vetting system.
This is precisely why Trump’s bold national security vision continues to resonate with voters: it’s not about politics it’s about survival.
The facts speak for themselves:
There have been over 3,500 global terror attacks in 2025 alone, with thousands dead and rising.
U.S. border encounters with terror watchlist suspects have surged to record highs, according to CBP data.
The Biden-era resettlement programs have directly led to violent incidents and no one in the White House is held accountable.
President Trump’s action is a return to common sense and clarity. No nation on earth has ever survived by throwing open its gates to those who cannot or will not be vetted.
With the 2026 midterms on the horizon, the move is also a signal to voters this administration will not hesitate to act decisively in the face of growing global threats.
