Trump Dismisses Taylor Swift’s Endorsement of Kamala Harris, Praises Brittany Mahomes

Former President Donald Trump wasted no time addressing Taylor Swift’s public endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris following the recent ABC Presidential Debate. During a Wednesday morning call-in on “Fox and Friends,” Trump dismissed Swift’s backing of Harris and took the opportunity to highlight another public figure’s support Brittany Mahomes, wife of Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes.

Asked about Swift’s endorsement, Trump shrugged off the pop star's stance, saying, “I actually like Mrs. Mahomes MUCH better, if you want to know the truth.” Trump referenced Brittany Mahomes' recent defense of her support for the former president, adding, “She’s a big Trump fan. I was not a Taylor Swift fan. It was just a question of time. You couldn’t possibly endorse Biden.”

Trump noted Swift’s history of endorsing Democrats and suggested that her left-leaning politics may not play well with everyone. “She’s a very liberal person... And she’ll probably pay a price for it in the marketplace,” he said, alluding to potential backlash from fans who might not agree with her views.

Swift's endorsement of Harris came after the debate when the singer praised the vice president as a “steady-handed, gifted leader” and voiced her intention to vote for the Democratic ticket, citing Harris’s choice of running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz. Swift praised Walz for his support of LGBTQ+ rights and abortion. Walz, who has come under fire from conservatives, signed an executive order last year protecting gender-altering procedures for minors in Minnesota.

While Trump brushed off Swift’s endorsement, he was much more enthusiastic about Brittany Mahomes, who recently made headlines for liking a Trump post on Instagram. The former president had outlined his 2024 Make America Great Again platform in the post, which included promises to cut taxes, secure the border, and “Keep men out of women’s sports.” Brittany’s show of support ruffled feathers among leftist critics, prompting her to hit back at the backlash.

“I mean honestly,” Brittany responded on Instagram, “To be a hater as an adult, you have to have some deep rooted issues you refuse to heal from childhood.” Her bold defense against her critics earned her praise from Trump, who said, “I like Brittany. I think Brittany’s great. She got a lot of news last week.”

As the 2024 election season heats up, Trump remains confident in his base, downplaying Swift’s influence and doubling down on the importance of his platform. In contrast, Swift’s latest political endorsement aligns her with a Democratic Party that Trump argues is out of touch with mainstream America. With notable figures like Brittany Mahomes standing by his side, Trump seems ready to face whatever challenges the left throws his way.
