Task Force Seizes 1 Million Pounds of Cocaine, Blocking $11B for Cartels

Record-breaking operation saves millions of lives, denies narco-terrorists over $11 billion in revenue as Trump intensifies crackdown.

In a stunning display of strength, coordination, and resolve, a Florida-based U.S. task force under President Trump’s direction has seized a record-breaking one million pounds of cocaine in a single fiscal year the largest drug interdiction in U.S. history.

The multi-agency operation, led by Joint Inter-Agency Task Force–South (JIATF-S) and coordinated by U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM), delivered a crushing financial and logistical blow to transnational cartels and narco-terrorist groups operating across Latin America and the Caribbean.

The seized cocaine enough to fill 42 dump trucks amounts to 378 million lethal doses, according to official estimates. That’s enough to kill every man, woman, and child in the United States.

“By disrupting the flow of these deadly drugs, JIATF-S is saving lives and protecting our homeland,” the agency said in a statement.

The impact in numbers:

  • 1 million pounds of cocaine seized

  • $11.34 billion in revenue denied to cartels and terror-linked drug lords

  • 377.9 million lethal doses permanently removed from circulation

  • Operations spanned 42 million square miles of maritime territory

This massive success was not an accident it’s the result of President Trump’s clear and unapologetic doctrine of peace through strength. While the Biden administration allowed the border to crumble and cartels to flourish, Trump has made military-backed counter-narcotics enforcement a top national priority.

Earlier this year, the Trump administration designated cartel organizations like Tren de Aragua and the Sinaloa Cartel as foreign terrorist organizations, giving U.S. forces expanded authority to dismantle them using military assets and intelligence coordination.

He also approved the deployment of Navy guided-missile destroyers to the Caribbean, dramatically boosting interdiction capabilities across key smuggling routes.

And perhaps most boldly, Trump’s Justice Department placed a $50 million bounty on Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro, accusing him of helping lead the Cartel of the Suns a criminal empire linked to FARC and armed with military-grade weapons provided by the Venezuelan regime.

According to the State Department, Maduro helped coordinate multi-ton cocaine shipments into U.S. territory while maintaining violent alliances with designated terrorist groups.

“As he gained power in Venezuela, Maduro participated in a corrupt and violent narco-terrorism conspiracy,” federal prosecutors allege.

Yet even as American forces push back hard, Maduro and his criminal allies are doubling down. After Trump greenlit military deployments to the region in August, Maduro declared Venezuela “ready to resist” and called the operation “criminal” a desperate attempt to save face amid his crumbling narco-state.

But the results speak for themselves this is what effective leadership looks like.

  • Law enforcement was empowered, not restrained.

  • The military was mobilized, not sidelined.

  • And cartels were hit where it hurts their wallets.

With the 2025 fiscal year ending Tuesday, this unprecedented seizure sends a clear message: under Trump, America is taking the fight to the enemy.

If the radical Left and open-border Democrats had their way, this record-breaking haul would still be on the streets, poisoning our communities and fueling the same cartel violence they refuse to confront.

Instead, thanks to the Trump administration’s aggressive strategy, millions of American lives were protected, and billions in cartel cash were obliterated.
