Trump’s First 100 Days How the Border Was Sealed
In just months, Trump achieved what Biden never could by shutting down the border invasion.

President Donald Trump wasted no time fulfilling one of his biggest campaign promises: securing America's southern border. In just his first 100 days back in office, Trump has turned around the immigration disaster left by Joe Biden, achieving a stunning 99.9% drop in illegal border encounters through swift, decisive action.
Under Biden, America endured an immigration nightmare:
More than 11 million illegal alien encounters were recorded nationwide, with 9 million at the southern border alone.
Roughly 1.7 million "gotaways" entered the country, disappearing into American cities.
The foreign-born population skyrocketed to 53 million, with illegal immigration accounting for two-thirds of that growth.
By contrast, within days of taking office, Trump ordered sweeping reforms that changed everything. From January 21 to January 31, U.S. Border Patrol apprehensions along the southwest border dropped 85% compared to the same period the year before. By March, with Vice President JD Vance visiting the border, the decline had reached 98%.
Trump’s border security offensive included:
Declaring a national emergency at the southern border, reactivating military support and resuming construction of the border wall.
Deploying 9,000 active-duty soldiers to fortify the border and deter illegal crossings.
Reinstating the Remain in Mexico policy, forcing asylum seekers to wait outside the U.S. for claims processing, reversing Biden's disastrous catch-and-release program.
Suspending the Refugee Admissions Program and halting migrant flights from high-risk countries like Venezuela, Cuba, and Honduras.
Repurposing the CBP One app into CBP Home, ensuring it now assists in tracking migrants leaving, not entering, the country.
The Trump administration also launched an aggressive international ad campaign, led by Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, warning would-be illegal aliens: "Criminals are not welcome in the United States."
The results speak for themselves. Even Latin American nations have taken notice. Colombia reported a 61% drop in migrant flow through the Darién Gap in just the first month of Trump’s presidency, crediting the shift to Trump’s no-nonsense immigration policies.
Trump's swift actions stand in stark contrast to Biden’s open-border chaos that endangered American communities and overwhelmed resources. Once again, President Trump is proving that strong leadership and unwavering commitment to the rule of law can secure America’s future.
