Wildlife Refuge Renamed by Trump in Memory of Girl Killed by Illegal Immigrants

In a powerful moment during his address to Congress, President Donald Trump announced he had signed an executive order renaming a national wildlife refuge in Texas in honor of 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray, who was brutally murdered by illegal aliens last year.

The Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge, located near Houston, will now be known as the Jocelyn Nungaray National Refuge a permanent tribute to the young girl whose life was taken in an act of pure evil.

“Last June, Alexis Nungaray’s 12-year-old daughter, her precious Jocelyn, walked to a nearby convenience store,” Trump said. “She was kidnapped, tied up, and assaulted for two hours under a bridge and horrifically murdered. Arrested and charged with this heinous crime are two illegal alien monsters from Venezuela.”

• The suspects, linked to the violent Tren de Aragua gang, had illegally crossed the U.S. border in early 2024.

• The Biden administration allowed them into the country, despite their criminal ties.

• They have since been indicted on charges of capital murder, kidnapping, and aggravated sexual assault.

Holding up the signed executive order from the podium, Trump turned to Jocelyn’s grieving mother, Alexis, who was a guest of First Lady Melania Trump. Through tears, she mouthed the words “thank you” to the president.

“This is for Jocelyn,” Trump said, vowing that her death would not be forgotten.

Jocelyn’s horrific murder is yet another tragic example of what happens when the federal government fails to secure the border. These killers never should have been allowed into the U.S. in the first place. Yet under Biden, our borders have been wide open, welcoming in criminals, cartel members, and gang operatives.

Trump made it clear: those days are over. His administration has already launched the most sweeping immigration crackdown in American history, targeting violent criminals like those who took Jocelyn’s life.

Americans deserve leaders who put their safety first. Biden’s reckless border policies have already cost too many innocent lives. Under Trump, accountability and justice are returning.
