Trump Backs Kansas City Chiefs to Win Super Bowl LIX

President praises Patrick Mahomes and predicts a Kansas City victory.

President Donald Trump made his Super Bowl LIX prediction on Sunday, picking the Kansas City Chiefs to claim victory over the Philadelphia Eagles.

In an interview with Fox News host Brett Baier, Trump praised Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, calling him “a great, great quarterback” and noting his impressive track record of winning big games. But Trump didn’t stop there he also had kind words for Mahomes’ wife, Brittany, who has quietly shown her support for the MAGA movement.

“I just say that I watched this great quarterback who has, by the way, a phenomenal wife, okay? She’s a Trump fan, she’s a MAGA fan, so I happen to love her, okay?” Trump said. “But she’s a great person. I watched her being interviewed, I said, ‘boy, that’s pretty good.’ But she’s great. And he’s great.”

Brittany Mahomes first signaled her support for Trump last August when she liked a post outlining the Republican Party platform. Since then, she has engaged with multiple pro-Trump social media posts, further indicating her political stance.

When it came to choosing a winner, Trump leaned on Mahomes’ ability to come through in the clutch.

“I guess you have to say that when a quarterback wins as much as he’s won, I have to go with Kansas City,” Trump said. “At the same time, Philadelphia has just a fantastic it’s gonna be just a great game.”

Trump’s presence at the Super Bowl has been well received by players, with many expressing excitement over playing in front of him. Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce called it a “great honor,” while Mahomes himself acknowledged the significance of the moment.

“It’s always cool to be able to play in front of a sitting president, someone that is at the top position in our country,” Mahomes said.

As the Chiefs and Eagles take the field, Trump’s pick adds another layer of excitement to what is already shaping up to be a historic showdown.
