Trump Pardons Former Virginia Sheriff Convicted of Bribery
President slams Biden DOJ as corrupt and weaponized after granting full pardon to Sheriff Scott Jenkins.

President Donald Trump has once again proven he's not afraid to take on the corrupt machinery of Biden's weaponized Justice Department. In a bold move Monday, Trump issued a full and unconditional pardon to former Culpeper County Sheriff Scott Jenkins, who was convicted last year of accepting over $75,000 in bribes.
The 53-year-old sheriff was slated to begin a 10-year prison sentence on Tuesday. Instead, thanks to Trump, Jenkins is a free man and a loud signal has been sent to every American watching the abuse of power under Biden's DOJ.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump didn’t mince words "This Sheriff is a victim of an overzealous Biden Department of Justice, and doesn’t deserve to spend a single day in jail. He is a wonderful person, who was persecuted by the Radical Left ‘monsters,’ and ‘left for dead.’"
Jenkins was found guilty of conspiracy, honest services fraud, and multiple counts of bribery. The charges stemmed from his alleged acceptance of bribes in exchange for appointing untrained businessmen as auxiliary deputy sheriffs positions that came with real badges and credentials, though no real responsibility or vetting.
Trump's defense? The trial was rigged from the start:
Exculpatory evidence offered by Jenkins was allegedly barred from the courtroom by Judge Robert Ballou, a Biden-appointed judge.
The sheriff was reportedly denied a fair chance to present his side yet another hallmark of the two-tiered justice system targeting conservatives.
Trump called out the glaring double standard, saying, "Radical Left or Liberal Judges allow into evidence what they feel like, not what is mandated under the Constitution."
Let’s be clear: Jenkins isn’t the first conservative targeted by Biden’s DOJ, and he won’t be the last. From parents protesting school boards to pro-life activists, the list of patriots persecuted under this administration continues to grow.
Sheriff Jenkins himself knew that if anyone would understand the injustice he faced, it would be Trump. Back in April, he expressed hope that the President would intervene after being shut down in court. His instincts were right.
This pardon stands not just as a reprieve for one man but as a thunderous indictment of how far the Biden administration has strayed from justice and truth. It’s also a powerful reminder that when Trump is in office, the rule of law doesn’t bend to leftist political whims.
And it’s another preview of what a second Trump term will look like restoring justice, reining in government abuse, and defending those who have been unfairly targeted.
