Trump Administration Orders Biden-Paroled Immigrants to Leave the US
Over 500,000 immigrants paroled under Biden’s weak border policies told to self-deport or face removal.

The Trump administration is taking decisive action to reverse one of the many disastrous border policies implemented under Joe Biden, sending a clear message that America's sovereignty is back on the table. In a new notice from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the administration has announced it will revoke legal protections for over 500,000 immigrants who were paroled into the United States under Biden’s lax parole programs.
The parole program, created under Biden in 2022 for Venezuelans and expanded in 2023 to include Cubans, Haitians, and Nicaraguans, granted tens of thousands of immigrants monthly entry into the U.S. with minimal vetting. Now, the Trump team is dismantling this backdoor immigration pipeline and demanding those who entered under it leave the country within 30 days or face deportation.
In its announcement, DHS minced no words “These programs do not serve a significant public benefit, are not necessary to reduce levels of illegal immigration, did not sufficiently mitigate the domestic effects of illegal immigration, are not serving their intended purposes, and are inconsistent with the Administration’s foreign policy goals.”
Put simply, the Biden-era CHNV parole program opened the floodgates to loosely vetted migrants while failing to curb illegal border crossings or protect American communities.
Key facts:
Over 500,000 migrants paroled under Biden’s CHNV program will lose legal protections and work permits.
In just two years, Biden allowed tens of thousands of immigrants per month from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela, worsening the border crisis.
Illegal border crossings hit record highs in 2023, with over 2.4 million encounters at the southern border, a direct result of Biden's weak immigration policies.
DHS spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin underscored the shift back to sanity “The termination of the CHNV parole programs, and the termination of parole for those who exploited it, is a return to common-sense policies, a return to public safety, and a return to America First.”
Additionally, the Trump administration is scrapping the CBP One app, another Biden-era tool used to facilitate immigrant entry applications, further reinforcing the commitment to secure America’s borders and restore law and order.
It’s a stark contrast to the chaos under Biden, who has consistently prioritized foreign nationals over American citizens, jeopardizing both national security and economic stability. Under Trump’s leadership, America is making clear: illegal pathways and reckless parole programs have no place in our immigration system.
