Trump Honors October 7 Victims and Warns Hamas of Total Destruction
As Israel marks two years since the Hamas massacre, Trump vows justice, hostage recovery, and a final blow to terror if peace is rejected.

On the solemn second anniversary of the October 7, 2023 Hamas massacre, President Donald Trump and top members of his administration reaffirmed America’s unwavering commitment to Israel’s survival, security, and sovereignty. The brutal terrorist assault the deadliest in Israel’s history claimed over 1,200 innocent lives, including 46 Americans, and plunged the region into a two-year war.
In a powerful statement, Secretary of State Marco Rubio called the attack “the most brutal terrorist attack in Israel’s history” and pledged that the U.S. will never allow such evil to take root again.
“As the United States marks this tragic anniversary and honors the victims,” Rubio said, “we renew our resolve to prevent such evil from ever taking place again.”
Vice President JD Vance echoed those sentiments, stating on X, “We remember all of the innocent people brutally murdered by Hamas. And we continue to work towards President Trump’s plan to bring the remaining hostages home and build a lasting peace for all.”
In a poignant moment of remembrance and resolve, President Trump hosted Eden Alexander, the last known surviving American hostage taken by Hamas, at the White House on Tuesday afternoon. Alexander, held captive for nearly 600 days, was released in May after intense negotiations led by the Trump administration.
As Trump honors the victims, he’s also turning up the pressure on Hamas. Last week, the terrorist group signaled it may release the remaining hostages and continue discussions over Trump’s 20-point peace plan a bold framework offering disarmament incentives, safe passage, and regional reintegration for terrorists who surrender.
But Hamas has yet to agree to disarm, and on Sunday, Trump issued a stark warning:
Accept the peace deal or face “complete obliteration.”
The president had initially set a Sunday 6:00 p.m. ET deadline for Hamas to accept the agreement. While negotiations continue, the message is clear: there will be no tolerance for stalling or terrorism under Trump’s leadership.
Rubio emphasized the broader vision behind Trump’s plan:
Complete release of all hostages
Permanent end to Hamas’s control of Gaza
A lasting peace that guarantees Israel’s security and reshapes the future of the region
Trump’s aggressive diplomacy has yielded results before including the historic Abraham Accords, the relocation of the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem, and major arms deals that strengthened U.S.-Israel ties. His current efforts aim to end the war decisively and ensure that no terror group ever threatens Israel again.
Rubio also addressed the rise of antisemitism at home and abroad, a disturbing trend that exploded after the October 7 attacks.
“There can be no compromise with antisemitism,” Rubio said. “We continue to condemn all acts of terrorism and antisemitism against Israel, and we call on the international community to stand with Israel during this painful anniversary.”
As the Biden-era left downplays Israel’s suffering and legitimizes “resistance” rhetoric, Trump’s administration is standing firm offering moral clarity, military strength, and unshakable alliance with the only democracy in the Middle East.
Two years after Hamas launched its barbaric assault, Israel is stronger, its enemies weaker, and America under Trump’s leadership is once again the leading force for peace through power.
