Trump Deploys National Guard to Los Angeles as Anti-ICE Riots Escalate

President Donald Trump is done watching the streets of Los Angeles descend into lawless chaos. With left-wing mobs assaulting federal officers and obstructing lawful immigration enforcement, Trump took decisive action Saturday evening he’s sending in the National Guard.

What began as so-called protests against ICE raids quickly transformed into full-blown riots, with agitators throwing rocks at Border Patrol vehicles and injuring agents. This wasn’t peaceful demonstration it was an open rebellion against the rule of law, enabled by soft-on-crime leadership and radical sanctuary policies.

• Trump signed a Presidential Memorandum deploying 2,000 National Guard troops to restore order and assist federal immigration officials.

• One CBP agent was injured after a government vehicle was pelted with rocks by demonstrators near Los Angeles.

• Tear gas and rubber bullets were deployed after protesters defied warnings and clashed violently with ICE and CBP officers.

Trump’s statement on Truth Social pulled no punches:

“If Governor Gavin Newscum, of California, and Mayor Karen Bass, of Los Angeles, can’t do their jobs... the Federal Government will step in and solve the problem, RIOTS & LOOTERS, the way it should be solved!”

And solve it he will. White House Border Czar Tom Homan confirmed the federal escalation during a Saturday night interview, warning rioters that “we’re going to push back on these people, and we’re going to enforce the law.”

While Democrat politicians rushed to defend lawbreakers, blaming federal agents instead of the criminals, law enforcement leaders issued stark warnings of their own:

“You will not stop us or slow us down,” said DHS Secretary Kristi Noem. “If you lay a hand on a law enforcement officer, you will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

The FBI, under the direction of Deputy Director Dan Bongino, is actively working to identify suspects caught on video attacking CBP vehicles.

“I strongly suggest you turn yourself in,” Bongino warned. “It’s only a matter of time.”

All of this chaos stems from one simple reality the Biden administration’s open-border policies have emboldened illegal crossings, and now federal agents are forced to play cleanup under siege from radical activists. Over 6.3 million illegal border crossings have occurred under Joe Biden a historic high and now, even efforts to enforce existing deportation orders are met with leftist resistance.

California’s leadership isn’t just complicit it’s enabling the lawlessness. Mayor Karen Bass had the audacity to call immigration enforcement “terror,” declaring her city would not “stand for this.” Meanwhile, her residents are left to deal with rising crime, overcrowded hospitals, and depleted resources.

The choice couldn’t be clearer: law and order or mob rule. Trump has made his stance known — and unlike the cowards in Sacramento and LA’s City Hall, he’s actually doing something about it.
