Trump Vows to Eliminate Mail-In Voting with Executive Order

President Donald Trump has declared war on mail-in voting and he’s not waiting for permission to do it.

In a major announcement posted to Truth Social on Monday, Trump revealed that he is preparing to sign an executive order aimed at eliminating mail-in ballots and banning the use of unreliable voting machines, marking a bold move to restore transparency and integrity ahead of the 2026 midterms.

“I am going to lead a movement to get rid of MAIL-IN BALLOTS,” Trump wrote, “and also… VOTING MACHINES, which cost Ten Times more than accurate and sophisticated Watermark Paper.”

Trump didn’t stop there. He tore into what he called a “mail-in ballot hoax,” saying it enables Democrats to “cheat at levels never seen before.”

“We are now the only Country in the World that uses Mail-In Voting. All others gave it up because of the MASSIVE VOTER FRAUD ENCOUNTERED,” he continued. “Elections can never be honest with mail-in ballots.”

This comes on the heels of multiple independent investigations including one by The Daily Wire which found that mail-in ballots in 2024 were sent to thousands of voters who had either moved out of state or were deceased. Despite that, Democrat-run states continue to push mail-in voting as a permanent feature of U.S. elections.

Trump’s proposed solution?

• A total ban on mail-in voting, replacing it with secure, watermarked paper ballots.

• The elimination of voting machines, which Trump called “highly inaccurate” and “controversial.”

• A restructuring of the federal election system, where states act as agents of the federal government for counting votes under strict integrity standards.

“Without fair and honest elections, and strong and powerful borders, you don’t have even a semblance of a country,” Trump warned.

Standing beside Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Monday, Trump doubled down in front of reporters. “We gotta stop mail-in voting. And the Republicans have to lead the charge. The Democrats want it because they have horrible policy. If you have mail-in voting, you’re not going to have many Democrats get elected.”

He’s not wrong. Since the widespread rollout of mail-in ballots during the COVID era, Democrats have aggressively expanded it despite ongoing questions about ballot harvesting, duplicate ballots, and unverifiable voter rolls. While Republican voters continue to prefer in-person voting, mail-in ballots have become the Democrats’ preferred vehicle for turnout and, some argue, manipulation.

Now, Trump is calling on Republican leadership to wake up and take action. “That’s bigger than anything having to do with redistricting… Republicans have to get smart.”

According to insiders, Trump’s legal team is already drafting the executive order to curtail mail-in voting and transition the system to secure, same-day paper ballot elections.

It’s a move sure to enrage Democrats and their media allies but for millions of Americans, it’s long overdue.

Without free and fair elections, everything else collapses. Trump knows it. The GOP base knows it. And now, it’s time to act like it.
