European Leader Thanks Trump for Preventing War in the Balkans

While the Biden administration stumbles through foreign policy crises from Ukraine to the Middle East, one European leader is making it clear who she trusts to keep the peace: President Donald J. Trump.

In a powerful statement on Fox & Friends Tuesday, Kosovo’s President Vjosa Osmani openly praised Trump’s foreign policy approach, saying his doctrine of “peace through strength” was the key to preventing conflict between her country and neighboring Serbia.

“The president [Trump] has always been a leader that speaks with clarity and strength and conviction,” Osmani said. “That’s the only message that autocrats and crazy leaders around the world who want to kill and cause suffering understand.”

Osmani, whose country declared independence from Serbia in 2008, described Kosovo as a devoted U.S. ally that has relied on American leadership especially under Trump to avoid slipping back into war. Tensions with Serbia remain high, with recent flare-ups threatening to destabilize the region once again.

She didn’t mince words: “We managed to thwart [Serbia’s aggression] with the support of our NATO allies. Nevertheless, there is a constant threat coming from Serbia.”

In June, President Trump reminded the world of his administration’s success in brokering peace agreements, including between Kosovo and Serbia—two long-time adversaries with deep historical animosities. While prior presidents kicked the Balkan conflict down the road, Trump took action, leveraging American power and diplomacy to de-escalate tensions and protect vulnerable allies.

What Biden has failed to do in Ukraine, Trump actually accomplished in the Balkans—with far fewer headlines, and far more results.

Osmani’s comments further exposed the glaring contrast between the two administrations:

• Under Trump, Kosovo's children went to bed without the sound of gunfire.

• Under Biden, war rages across Europe and the Middle East.

• Trump’s policies resulted in deterrence.

• Biden’s weakness has resulted in escalation.

“We’re a country where every single generation before our kids had to go through a war,” Osmani said. “Our kids now can go to bed without the sound of firearms... because of American leadership.”

That leadership, she made clear, refers to Trump’s leadership not the current crop of appeasers running the White House.

This isn’t just about Kosovo. It’s about how the world reacts to strength. Whether it’s Iran, Russia, or rogue elements in the Balkans, adversaries think twice when America is led by someone who backs his words with action.

Osmani summed it up with clarity: she’s counting on Trump’s continued “peace through strength” doctrine because it works. And it’s a reminder that for many outside the D.C. echo chamber, Trump is still the only world leader who commands both respect and results.
