U.S. Adds 147,000 Jobs in June as Trump Economy Surges Ahead
Fourth straight month of stronger-than-expected job growth marks another win for Trump's economic agenda.

The U.S. economy continues to defy expectations under President Donald Trump’s leadership, adding 147,000 jobs in June and marking the fourth straight month of better-than-expected labor market performance. The national unemployment rate dipped to 4.1%, its lowest since February, in yet another sign that the Trump comeback economy is real and gaining steam.
“This jobs market is like the Energizer Bunny,” said CNN’s Matt Egan, clearly stunned by the consistent surge. Analysts had predicted a gain of just 110,000 jobs, making this another embarrassment for the so-called “experts” who keep underestimating Trump’s economic engine.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt highlighted the momentum in a statement: “American-born workers have accounted for ALL of the job gains since President Trump took office and wages continue to rise. The economy is booming again and it will only get better when the One, Big, Beautiful Bill is passed and implemented!”
Here’s what the numbers show:
147,000 jobs added, surpassing both initial and revised projections.
Unemployment at 4.1%, a low not seen since pre-Biden inflation shocks.
Hourly wages rose to $36.30, an increase of 3.7% over the past year.
Native-born employment surged by over 2 million since January, while foreign-born employment fell by over 500,000.
In contrast to the Biden-era job growth which disproportionately benefited legal and illegal immigrants Trump’s America First policies are putting U.S. citizens back to work. A June 2024 report from the Center for Immigration Studies revealed that under Biden, only one in four jobs created went to native-born workers. That’s not a recovery; that’s a sellout.
Job Creators Network CEO Alfredo Ortiz praised the Trump administration’s strategy, saying, “Hats off to President Trump because this three-legged stool of his has really been powerful: the trade, the taxes, and deregulations together. It’s all about jobs, jobs, jobs.”
While the private sector booms, the federal government has shrunk shedding 7,000 jobs last month and more than 69,000 since January. That’s deliberate. The Trump administration is trimming bloated bureaucracies while empowering the real drivers of the economy: American workers, small businesses, and domestic industries.
With Trump pushing Congress to pass his $3.3 trillion One Big, Beautiful Bill packed with tax cuts, deregulation, and border enforcement the job market is set to heat up even more.
The message is clear: Trump built this. Biden broke it. And now Trump is building it back stronger than ever.
