Trump Urges Israel to Escalate if Hamas Fails to Free Hostages by Saturday

President Donald Trump made it clear that Israel should not tolerate any more delays in the release of hostages held by Hamas. Speaking from the Oval Office, Trump stated that if Hamas does not free "all the Gaza hostages" by noon on Saturday, the ceasefire should be scrapped immediately.

“If all the Gaza hostages aren’t returned by Saturday at 12 p.m., I would say cancel the ceasefire,” Trump told reporters. “Let all hell break out. Israel can override it.”

This marks a stark departure from the current agreement, which has seen hostages released in small numbers over time. Trump was unequivocal:

• “Not in dribs and drabs, not two and one and three and four and two,” he said.

• “Saturday at 12 o’clock, and after that I would say, all hell is going to break out.”

Trump’s remarks came as Hamas announced it would suspend its next scheduled hostage release, citing alleged Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement. The terror group accused Israel of blocking humanitarian aid and attacking civilians claims often used to justify their continued aggression.

Hamas declared on its Telegram channel that it would delay the handover of hostages until Israel met its demands, a blatant move to manipulate the situation further. Meanwhile, Israeli officials and advocacy groups continue to press for the return of those still held captive.

The former president’s warning comes after the release of three Israeli hostages in shockingly poor condition. Trump did not hold back in his reaction:

“I watched the hostages return today, and they looked like Holocaust survivors,” he said. “They were in horrible condition, emaciated. It looked like many years ago, the Holocaust survivors. I don’t know how much longer we can take that.”

His message is clear: the United States and Israel should not stand by as Hamas plays games with human lives. The time for patience is running out.
