Trump Says Iran Wants Ceasefire Talks After Israeli Strikes Devastate Regime
As Israel cripples Iran’s military and nuclear program, Tehran reaches out to negotiate under pressure.

After suffering days of devastating bombardment from Israeli forces, the Iranian regime is now signaling a willingness to negotiate a ceasefire, according to President Donald Trump. Speaking at the G7 Summit in Canada on Monday, Trump confirmed that Iran has begun reaching out through intermediaries to discuss a possible de-escalation with Israel.
“They’d like to talk, but they should have done that before,” Trump told reporters. “I had 60 days, and they had 60 days. On the 61st day, I said, ‘We don’t have a deal.’ They have to make a deal, and it’s painful for both parties. But I’d say Iran is not winning this war, and they should talk, and they should talk immediately, before it’s too late.”
According to reports from The Wall Street Journal and CBS News, Tehran’s message has been passed to both Washington and Jerusalem as Israel continues its precision strikes on Iran’s most sensitive military and nuclear infrastructure. World leaders at the G7 summit circulated a draft statement urging both Israel and Iran to agree to a ceasefire and protect civilians, but Trump has refused to endorse the weak diplomatic language.
Israel’s sustained military campaign has brought Iran’s nuclear and military capabilities to the brink of collapse:
10 senior Iranian nuclear scientists have been eliminated in recent days, according to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Israel delivered a devastating strike to Iran’s uranium enrichment facility at Natanz, systematically destroying critical nuclear targets.
Iranian ballistic missile launchers, stockpiles, and command centers have been neutralized.
Three chiefs of staff from Iran’s security leadership have been taken out, significantly weakening Tehran’s military chain of command.
“We are eliminating them one by one,” Netanyahu declared. “We are continuing to destroy nuclear targets systematically.”
Despite Iran’s retaliatory missile and drone attacks on Israeli population centers including Tel Aviv and Haifa Israel’s Iron Dome and missile defense systems have intercepted the majority of incoming threats, while Israeli forces continue to dominate the battlefield.
Iran’s regime, now bleeding militarily, is left scrambling for a diplomatic exit it had previously rejected. Tehran’s willingness to finally talk comes only after Israel’s crushing offensive exposed just how vulnerable the mullahs truly are.
This entire conflict underscores the catastrophic consequences of years of Democrat weakness and appeasement. Biden, Obama, and their globalist allies enabled Iran’s nuclear ambitions by funneling billions of dollars into Tehran through the failed 2015 nuclear deal. Instead of isolating the regime, they empowered it, giving Iran the resources to build its ballistic missile program, fund terror proxies, and now threaten global stability.
President Trump’s refusal to cave to international pressure and his unapologetic America-First leadership have once again forced America's enemies to the negotiating table. By refusing to sign onto another meaningless G7 statement and standing firmly with Israel, Trump is proving that strength, not compromise, is the only language dictators understand.
As Iran faces its most severe military defeat in decades, the world is witnessing the result of decisive leadership that refuses to bow to weak diplomacy.
