Trump’s ICE Arrests Over 1,000 Illegal Workers, Targets Businesses Exploiting Cheap Labor

Mass arrests and million-dollar fines highlight Trump’s crackdown on illegal employment and push for national E-Verify mandate.

The Trump administration just delivered a major blow to the shadow economy built on illegal labor.

ICE and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) announced Wednesday that more than 1,000 illegal alien workers have been arrested in a historic wave of enforcement. In addition, over 1,200 businesses are now under investigation, and nearly $1 million in fines have been proposed for employers knowingly hiring illegal workers.

“This is the highest rate of arrest in HSI’s history,” said HSI’s acting Executive Associate Director Robert Hammer. “Businesses that exploit and hire illegal workers are harming the American public.”

For decades, businesses especially in sectors like agriculture, construction, and manufacturing have quietly relied on illegal labor to cut costs. The result? Suppressed wages, fewer jobs for American workers, and a massive incentive for millions to cross the border illegally.

But under President Trump, that game is over.

  • ICE captured 37 illegal aliens at a roofing company in Washington state who submitted fake immigration documents.

  • A Texas bakery raid netted eight illegal workers and resulted in the arrest of the business owners who knowingly employed them.

  • A Chinese-run money laundering operation supplying illegal labor to an Ohio factory led to the seizure of 14 properties, 15 vehicles, and seven bank accounts.

This isn’t just immigration enforcement it’s a full-scale economic patriotism campaign aimed at protecting American jobs and holding corporations accountable.

Experts say the next logical step is a national E-Verify mandate, which would prevent illegal aliens from gaming the system in the first place.

“It would make it much more difficult to get work,” said Mark Krikorian of the Center for Immigration Studies. “That would lead many illegal immigrants to self-deport.”

Ira Mehlman of FAIR agrees. He points out that most illegal aliens under Biden’s open-borders disaster came for one reason jobs.

“If employers were mandated to use E-Verify and the government demonstrated the resolve to hold them accountable, that would go a long way toward drying up the supply of jobs,” Mehlman explained.

A recent FAIR study estimates that there are 18.6 million illegal aliens currently in the U.S., many of whom entered during the Biden years with the assumption that no one would stop them. But Trump’s ICE is proving otherwise.

This is the America First immigration policy in action: enforce the law, protect the worker, and punish those who exploit the system. No more hiding behind loopholes. No more corporate complicity.

It’s time to finish the job by passing mandatory E-Verify nationwide and cutting off the incentive that fuels illegal immigration at its core illegal employment.
