Heartwarming Moment Trump Honors Young Cancer Survivor with Secret Service Title
Emotional moment as DJ Daniel is honored during Trump’s address to Congress.

In a powerful and emotional moment during his congressional address, President Donald Trump honored 13-year-old Devarjay “DJ” Daniel, a brain cancer survivor, by making him an honorary Secret Service agent. The young fighter, who has undergone over a dozen surgeries since his diagnosis at age six, has always dreamed of becoming a police officer. On Tuesday night, that dream came true in a way he never expected.
“Tonight, DJ, we’re going to do you the biggest honor of them all,” Trump declared. “I am asking our new Secret Service Director Sean Curran to make you an agent of the United States Secret Service.”
DJ’s eyes widened with surprise as he received his official badge. The moment was made even more special when he leaned over to hug the Secret Service director, moving the entire room.
DJ has been sworn in as an honorary officer by multiple law enforcement agencies, but this was his highest honor yet.
Conservative radio host Dana Loesch called DJ’s reaction “awesome,” praising the president’s gesture.
Meghan McCain, whose father died of brain cancer, admitted, “This is the first time I can remember crying during a state of the union. Thank you, President Trump.”
Former White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer blasted Democrats for refusing to clap, saying, “If the Ds can’t clap for a beautiful 13-year-old boy who wants to become a cop, there’s something really wrong with them.”
After receiving his badge, DJ turned to congratulate another guest, Jason Hartley, whose late father was a sheriff’s deputy. Trump had just announced that Hartley had been admitted to West Point, marking another inspiring moment in the night.
At a time when law enforcement faces constant attacks from the left, Trump’s tribute to DJ Daniel was a reminder of the honor and courage that define America’s heroes. The moment resonated far beyond politics it was a celebration of resilience, dreams, and the strength of the American spirit.
