Trump to Welcome B-2 Bomber Pilots Who Crushed Iran’s Nuclear Sites
Operation Midnight Hammer pilots honored for precision strikes that obliterated Tehran’s nuclear threat.

President Donald Trump has announced that the pilots who flew the legendary B-2 bombers during last weekend’s strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities will soon be honored at the White House. The mission Operation Midnight Hammer crippled Iran’s nuclear infrastructure in one of the most daring U.S. military operations in decades.
During an interview with Maria Bartiromo on “Sunday Morning Futures,” Trump praised the elite airmen behind the precision bombing campaign.
“These people flew 36 hours in a small space, mostly occupied by bombs, and they flew so brilliantly,” Trump said. “They hit a target the size of this circle half the size of a refrigerator door from 50,000 feet. They hit it every single time.”
The stealth bombers launched from Missouri, refueled mid-air multiple times, and executed pinpoint strikes on Fordo and Natanz two of Iran’s most fortified nuclear sites. Just moments later, U.S. Navy submarines launched Tomahawk missiles into Isfahan, completing a shock-and-awe display of American power and precision.
Key mission details:
The operation was codenamed Midnight Hammer and included multiple in-air refueling operations over thousands of miles.
Targets included underground nuclear sites designed to be impregnable even buried under 30 stories of granite.
Trump confirmed that the strikes obliterated these facilities, preventing Iran from reaching nuclear breakout.
Trump emphasized the skill and heroism of the pilots, calling the mission a success not just strategically but technologically. “They can go 30 stories deep into granite. Who would think that’s even possible? And they did obliterate it,” he said.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth echoed the sentiment, issuing a powerful statement honoring the entire force: “Warriors. All of them. Every American involved in this operation performed flawlessly.”
This isn’t just a White House photo op. It’s a recognition of the unmatched bravery, endurance, and technical excellence of the U.S. military a reminder to the world that when America draws a line, it’s enforced.
By bringing these warriors to the White House, Trump is sending a message: the days of apologizing for American strength are over.
