Alina Habba Asserts Trump Won Over 'Hearts and Minds' in NYC Courtroom
Attorney Alina Habba praises Trump’s resilience amid “lawfare” and vows a victory over the deep state.
At Sunday’s packed rally in Madison Square Garden, former President Donald Trump’s attorney and close adviser, Alina Habba, addressed the challenges Trump faces with ongoing legal battles and what she describes as a “lawfare” campaign against him. Wearing a MAGA jacket she quipped was designed to “trigger Hillary Clinton,” Habba emphasized that the Trump most Americans know is the one who faced down opponents on courtroom steps and refused to back down.
“They thought they could take the greatest president down through lawfare, with lawsuits, fake charges, raids, and endless investigations,” Habba told the crowd. She reminded the audience that Trump’s New York roots run deep and that those hoping to use the legal system to diminish him “underestimated how hard Trump would fight.”
Habba didn’t hold back in calling out Trump’s critics, whom she claimed are rattled by his continued popularity and the campaign’s momentum. “They are claiming we’re going to go after them and try to put them in jail. Well, ain’t that rich?” she remarked, pointing to what she sees as the hypocrisy of those who have weaponized the justice system against Trump.
Winning “Hearts and Minds”: Habba argued that Trump’s time in the New York courtrooms only strengthened his connection with Americans. “He won the hearts and minds of the American people all from this city!” she declared, underscoring that while legal challenges continue, Trump’s resilience has inspired voters across the country.
Taking Aim at Kamala Harris: Habba had strong words for Vice President Kamala Harris, suggesting that “no one has ever voted for you to become the Democrat nominee.” Habba framed Harris and the current administration as out of touch and predicted a November 5 victory that would “evict” Harris from the White House.
In a fiery close, Habba addressed the crowd, saying, “You see the deep state, they underestimate how smart we are. They want the American people to fall in like a bunch of sheep. You know what they don’t realize, New York? We’re going to be the ones herding sheep out of the White House.” The crowd roared in response, reflecting the energy and unity of Trump’s supporters in his hometown.
Habba’s speech was one of many delivered at the rally, featuring a lineup of Trump’s allies and high-profile supporters, including Sen. J.D. Vance, tech billionaire Elon Musk, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and former Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard. With just days left until Election Day, the rally demonstrated a unified message from Trump’s camp: resilience, commitment to the American people, and a promise to take on what they describe as the “deep state.”
