Trump Slams Harvard for Taking Billions While Hiding Foreign Students
President says elite university refuses transparency as it protects foreign nationals and antisemitism.

President Donald Trump is once again taking on the elites this time blasting Harvard University for hiding behind its ivory tower while accepting billions in taxpayer dollars and refusing to disclose the identities of its foreign student population.
Trump's remarks came after the Department of Homeland Security officially barred Harvard from admitting any new foreign students, citing national security and failure to comply with federal reporting laws. Harvard responded by filing a lawsuit, but Trump didn’t hold back in calling out the hypocrisy.
“Why isn’t Harvard saying that almost 31% of their students are from FOREIGN LANDS… and yet those countries pay NOTHING toward their student’s education,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “We want to know who those foreign students are Harvard has $52 BILLION, use it, and stop asking for the Federal Government to continue GRANTING money to you!”
Let’s put that into context:
Harvard receives over $600 million annually in federal research grants alone.
Roughly 27% of Harvard’s students about 6,800 are international, with many from China, Iran, and other nations not aligned with U.S. interests.
Harvard boasts a $52 billion endowment, yet still demands federal support while stonewalling accountability.
The issue is bigger than money. The Trump administration’s crackdown came after the university refused to provide information on foreign nationals engaged in criminal, dangerous, or antisemitic activity on campus including participation in anti-Israel riots and pro-Hamas demonstrations. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem emphasized that the administration “is holding Harvard accountable for fostering violence, antisemitism, and coordinating with the Chinese Communist Party.”
Harvard’s lawsuit claims this is all retaliation for its “First Amendment rights,” but let’s be clear: there’s no constitutional right to take federal funds while concealing lawbreakers and radical agitators operating under student visas.
For years, Harvard and institutions like it have happily cashed checks from Washington while preaching anti-American rhetoric, harboring extremists, and now, shielding foreign students engaged in activities that threaten public safety. When asked for transparency, they cry about “freedom.” But when American taxpayers ask where their money is going, these same elites slam the door shut.
What’s truly staggering is the entitlement. Despite having more money than many countries, Harvard insists on acting like a victim all while enabling foreign nationals to exploit our educational system with zero oversight.
Trump’s demand for transparency isn’t extreme it’s common sense.
Why should American families foot the bill for foreign students from hostile nations?
Why should schools that tolerate antisemitic activism be rewarded with taxpayer cash?
And why should any institution, no matter how prestigious, be allowed to defy federal law without consequence?
The Trump administration just delivered a clear message: the era of elite institutions playing both sides is over. If you want American dollars, you better start acting like an American institution not a globalist training camp.
