$83.3M E. Jean Carroll Judgment Against Trump Upheld on Appeal

As Trump battles political lawfare from every angle, another activist court sides with the left.

The political lawfare against Donald Trump continues, this time with the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals upholding a massive $83.3 million defamation verdict against him in favor of writer E. Jean Carroll a woman whose claims have never been criminally proven and who seemingly built her entire case on vague decades-old allegations and a book deal.

On Monday, a three-judge panel rejected Trump’s legal challenge, claiming that his remarks where he vehemently denied Carroll's accusations were not protected by presidential immunity. The court even went so far as to label Trump’s conduct as “remarkably reprehensible,” despite the fact that he was never convicted of any crime in connection to Carroll’s story.

Let’s not forget what this case is really about free speech and selective prosecution. Trump’s legal team argued that the verdict was unjust and that his statements were well within the rights of any American citizen especially one being accused of something he denies.

Here’s what the court brushed aside:

  • Trump never faced criminal charges for the alleged 1990s incident.

  • Carroll’s initial claim surfaced in a book published in 2019 not in a police report.

  • Trump’s statements were made as a sitting President defending his character against what he called a baseless smear.

But in today's two-tiered justice system, none of that matters. The court rejected every one of Trump’s arguments including his appeal of the use of the infamous Access Hollywood tape, which had absolutely nothing to do with Carroll, yet was used in court to prejudice the jury.

This is the second Carroll-related loss for Trump in recent months, after the same court shot down another appeal in a civil lawsuit riddled with politicized narratives. The message is clear: if you're Donald Trump, due process takes a back seat.

The left has figured out that if they can't beat Trump at the ballot box, they’ll try to bleed him dry through courtroom ambushes:

  • New York’s civil fraud case hit Trump with a nearly half-billion dollar judgment.

  • Georgia prosecutors are still pursuing a RICO case against him for questioning the 2020 election.

  • Jack Smith’s federal investigations are ongoing and aggressively political.

Meanwhile, Joe Biden the man who can barely finish a sentence sails through scandal after scandal untouched by the same justice system. From his shady family business dealings to his botched withdrawal from Afghanistan, not a single legal challenge sticks. Because the system protects its own.

Trump can now either accept the $83.3 million judgment or appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court. Either way, it's clear: this isn’t justice it’s election interference dressed in legal robes.
