Trump Weaponization Chief Targets January 6 Committee Figures

The walls may be closing in just not on President Trump, as the left hoped, but on the architects of the January 6 witch hunt themselves.

On Sunday, Ed Martin, the new “weaponization czar” under the Trump administration, revealed that the Department of Justice is actively scrutinizing the former January 6 Committee and its associates many of whom, notably, were not pardoned by President Joe Biden before leaving office.

Speaking on Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo, Martin confirmed that DOJ investigators are now eyeing potential criminality related to the now-defunct committee.

“A lot of people did not get a pardon that were involved in the select committee, and they ought to be keeping an eye on their mailbox,” Martin warned. “There’s a lot to be asked about.”

The Biden administration quietly issued a sweeping set of eleventh-hour pardons in January, shielding key players tied to the Democrat-led panel, Capitol Police witnesses, and other allies who pushed the official narrative around January 6. Biden justified it by saying he was protecting “innocent people” from “politically motivated investigations.”

But the current DOJ has a different take.

Here’s what’s under the microscope now:

• Destruction of evidence by the January 6 Committee, a serious allegation long ignored by the media but increasingly gaining traction.

• Abuse of power through coordinated leaks, selective testimony, and alleged manipulation of communications records.

• The legitimacy of the pardons themselves, as Biden aides allegedly used autopen signatures to rubber-stamp executive actions during a time when questions about Biden’s mental and physical health were swirling.

Martin, who also serves as the administration’s top pardon attorney, raised a red flag. “We’re investigating how the pardons were granted. It was not like anything in the history of America… not just with the autopen, but with faking him out on the memos.”

Translation? Biden may not have even known what he was signing.

Attorney General Pam Bondi is now overseeing the full scope of these investigations. According to Martin, her team has been given the green light to pursue evidence no matter where it leads.

“Pam Bondi has let us loose,” he said. “When this comes out, it’ll take the whole of these people’s hoaxes down.”

This is a stunning reversal. For years, the left used the January 6 Committee as a political bludgeon weaponizing the government to smear President Trump and his supporters, spinning a one-sided narrative, and hiding evidence that contradicted it. Now, they’re the ones under the microscope.

And for once, accountability might be coming from the right direction.
