Trump Denies Kamala Harris Claim About Private Praise

Trump shuts down another fabricated story from Harris as she rewrites history ahead of 2024.

In yet another bizarre twist from the Democratic playbook, Vice President Kamala Harris claims that former President Donald Trump privately praised her as a “tough, smart customer” following the 2020 election. But during a no-nonsense sit-down with Fox News’ Peter Doocy, Trump made it clear: that never happened.

“[I didn’t call her that] that I know of, but I was nice to her,” Trump told Doocy during the debut of “The Sunday Briefing.” According to Trump, while he remained cordial during a phone call something he’s routinely done even with political opponents Harris’ embellished recollection in her new book is just another example of the left trying to rewrite history for political gain.

Here’s the reality:

  • Harris claims Trump said, “You are a tough, smart customer... And you also have a beautiful name.”

  • Trump says he was polite, but doesn’t recall ever using those words — because he didn’t.

  • Harris, according to the New York Times review of her book, also wrote that she urged Trump to help “bring the country together,” a suggestion she called “a lost cause.”

Let’s get real. Kamala Harris has been one of the least effective Vice Presidents in modern history. From her dismal approval ratings to her incoherent responses on everything from the border crisis to foreign policy, the idea that Trump a man who’s always been blunt and unfiltered would lavish praise on her is laughable.

Trump addressed her performance directly: “I thought Kamala would have done a better job than she did in terms of running, because we really won by a lot. And I thought she would have done better.”

That remark says it all. Even Trump gave her the benefit of the doubt once. But Harris has done nothing but underdeliver since day one.

This entire episode speaks to a broader pattern we've seen from Democrats, especially as the 2024 election draws near:

  • Kamala Harris is trying to rebrand herself in the face of sinking poll numbers.

  • The Biden-Harris administration is desperately clinging to moments that make them appear competent, even if it means fictionalizing events.

  • The media is more than happy to amplify these claims without real scrutiny.

If there’s one thing Harris is consistent about, it’s turning every conversation back to herself. While the country is grappling with inflation, rising crime, and a complete lack of international respect, the Vice President is spending her time rehashing fantasy phone calls with Donald Trump.

Thankfully, the American people aren’t buying it. Polls show that more than 60% of Americans disapprove of Harris' performance and it’s not because Trump didn't call her a nice name. It’s because her leadership has been a disaster from the start.

As Trump gears up for a historic return, Harris and Biden are left peddling half-truths and desperate PR moves to prop up an administration that’s crumbling under its own weight.
