Trump Says Democrats Are Driving Themselves Into Oblivion

The former president slams party’s radical leadership as a “kamikaze mission” doomed to fail.

President Donald Trump isn’t mincing words when it comes to the direction of the Democratic Party and according to him, it’s headed straight off a cliff.

In a fiery interview on Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo, Trump compared today’s Democrats to “kamikaze pilots,” accusing them of deliberately steering their party toward self-destruction by embracing radical, fringe leadership.

“They have nothing going. They have no future. They have incompetent candidates,” Trump said, pointing to figures like Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX), Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), and New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani as evidence of the party’s collapse.

The former president didn’t hold back, mocking Crockett as “a very low-IQ person” and ridiculing AOC’s recent public statements as unserious and embarrassing. As for Mamdani a self-proclaimed “democratic socialist” Trump called him out for what he really is:

“He’s not a socialist, he’s a communist,” Trump warned. “Looks like we’re going to have a communist mayor in New York. It’ll be very interesting.”

Let’s be clear: these aren’t just political jabs. They’re a wake-up call.

  • AOC and her radical squad have hijacked the Democratic Party with extreme positions on climate, immigration, and police defunding.

  • Jasmine Crockett, who’s made headlines more for gaffes than policy, is celebrated by the left purely for identity politics.

  • Zohran Mamdani openly embraces socialism in a city already buckling under leftist policies crime, homelessness, and unaffordable living.

And yet, these are the faces the Democrats are elevating to national prominence. If this is their future, as Trump says, it’s no future at all.

Trump also responded to the weekend’s “No Kings” protests, where Democrats tried to portray him as some kind of authoritarian figure.

“They’re referring to me as a king. I’m not a king,” he said, pointing out that the moves he’s made during the government shutdown including cutting certain programs are fully within the scope of his legal authority.

It’s another desperate attempt by the left to distract from their internal chaos and sinking poll numbers. While Trump continues to lead in key battleground states and energize massive crowds, Democrats are divided, flailing, and elevating candidates who couldn’t survive a serious vetting process.

Even some longtime Democrats are beginning to defect, as the party’s hard-left turn alienates working-class Americans, moderates, and independents. Trump’s blunt assessment? They’re flying straight into the ground.

And he’s not wrong.
