Trump Authorizes Covert CIA Action Against Venezuela’s Maduro

Amid migrant chaos and drug trafficking, Trump cracks down on socialist dictatorship with lethal force authorization.

President Donald Trump has taken a decisive step to confront the chaos pouring across the southern border and the deadly drugs flooding American streets by quietly authorizing covert CIA operations against Venezuela’s socialist regime.

According to recent reports, Trump gave the green light for the CIA to carry out lethal actions inside Venezuela, targeting the criminal infrastructure surrounding dictator Nicolás Maduro. While specific targets weren’t disclosed, the move signals a dramatic shift toward direct confrontation after years of failed diplomacy and growing transnational threats.

At a press conference Wednesday, Trump laid out the brutal reality behind his decision.

“They’ve allowed thousands and thousands of prisoners, people from mental institutions, insane asylums emptied out into the United States,” Trump said. “We’re bringing them back. But that’s a really bad thing.”

The administration has long accused the Maduro regime of weaponizing illegal migration and trafficking lethal drugs into the U.S. and now it’s backing up those claims with action.

Here’s what we know:

  • The CIA now has lethal authority to conduct covert operations against Venezuela’s criminal regime.

  • The U.S. has already increased military presence in the Caribbean region, with 10,000 troops stationed nearby, including Marines aboard amphibious assault ships and at least one submarine.

  • In recent months, five successful strikes on narco-terrorist vessels have been conducted, eliminating 27 cartel-linked operatives.

  • Trump confirmed operations will now target drug shipments “by land and sea,” escalating the pressure on Maduro’s trafficking networks.

This latest move is not just about stopping illegal drugs it’s about national security. Venezuelan traffickers and gangs, emboldened by Maduro’s failing state, have flooded America’s borders with narcotics and violent migrants. Trump isn’t just watching it happen. He’s hitting back.

“They have given us their worst, they’ve loaded up our country with prisoners, with mentally ill people that are seriously ill, criminally ill,” Trump warned. “And we’re not gonna take it.”

Maduro, predictably, responded with outrage accusing the U.S. of “a military attack on civilians.” But no one’s buying the socialist strongman’s lies. The U.S. has placed a $50,000 reward for information leading to Maduro’s arrest on drug trafficking charges, citing direct links between the regime and transnational cartels.

According to former DEA official Wes Tabor, the Trump team is putting the squeeze on cartel operations. “The permissive environment they long enjoyed is evaporating.”

After years of weakness under the Obama-Biden foreign policy doctrine, Trump’s bold stance is a welcome return to America First. Instead of turning a blind eye to criminal regimes exporting chaos into our cities, the Trump administration is confronting them head-on.

While Biden continues to bungle the border and coddle international criminals with hollow diplomacy, Trump is showing what real leadership looks like: protecting American families, confronting enemies, and restoring order.
