After Assassination Attempt, Trump Kids Show Support with 'I Love You Dad'

Four of former President Donald Trump’s children released heartfelt statements following the assassination attempt on their father during a campaign rally on Saturday. The former president was shot at the rally in Pennsylvania, resulting in a bloody ear as Secret Service agents quickly intervened to protect him. Trump was subsequently checked out at a local medical facility and confirmed to be "fine."

Ivanka Trump, Trump's eldest daughter, expressed her gratitude on X, acknowledging the outpouring of support.

“Thank you for your love and prayers for my father and for the other victims of today’s senseless violence in Butler, Pennsylvania,” she wrote. “I am grateful to the Secret Service and all the other law enforcement officers for their quick and decisive actions today. I continue to pray for our country.” She concluded with a personal note: “I love you Dad, today and always.”

Tiffany Trump also shared her thoughts, expressing deep appreciation for the support her father received. “The outpouring of love and support for my dad is deeply appreciated,” she stated. “Thank you God for keeping my father alive. Political violence is never the answer. God bless the secret service and law enforcement who fearlessly intervened. Please include the families of the victims in your prayers. As you saw today, my father is a fighter and he will continue to fight for you and the USA.”

Donald Trump Jr. took to X to post a photo of his father, fist raised and blood streaming down his face, captioning it, “He’ll never stop fighting to Save America.”

Eric Trump shared the same photo with the caption, “This is the fighter America needs!”

Trump’s youngest child, Barron Trump, was reportedly with his father at the rally when the shots were fired, underscoring the close family ties and shared experiences in these turbulent times.

The former president himself released a statement on Truth Social, thanking the Secret Service and law enforcement for their rapid response. “Most importantly, I want to extend my condolences to the family of the person at the Rally who was killed, and also to the family of another person that was badly injured. It is incredible that such an act can take place in our Country.”

“Nothing is known at this time about the shooter, who is now dead,” Trump continued. “I was shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear. I knew immediately that something was wrong in that I heard a whizzing sound, shots, and immediately felt the bullet ripping through the skin. Much bleeding took place, so I realized then what was happening.” He concluded with a patriotic note: “GOD BLESS AMERICA!”

The resilience and unity displayed by the Trump family in the face of this violent act reflect their determination and shared commitment to their cause.
