Trump Says Charlie Kirk’s Assassin Was Targeting All Americans

In a powerful eulogy, Trump calls Kirk’s killing an attack on liberty and the nation’s soul.

President Donald Trump delivered a stirring and emotional eulogy for Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk on Sunday, declaring that the bullet that killed the 31-year-old conservative leader was “aimed at all of us.”

Speaking to a packed arena just 11 days after Kirk was assassinated during a campus event at Utah Valley University, Trump called the killing a direct attack on America’s core values freedom, faith, and the right to speak the truth without fear.

“Charlie’s murder was not just an attack on one man or one movement it was an attack on our entire nation,” Trump said. “It was an assault on our most sacred liberties and God-given rights. The gun was pointed at him, but the bullet was aimed at all of us.”

These weren’t hollow words. Trump’s eulogy was a call to arms not with violence, but with conviction. A demand that Americans recognize what’s happening: political violence is no longer theoretical. It’s real. And it’s here.

Trump’s Key Messages:

  • Charlie Kirk was assassinated for his beliefs, plain and simple. His ideas rooted in Christian values, constitutional liberty, and unapologetic patriotism made him a target.

  • This wasn’t just a personal loss, Trump said. It was “a horrible attack on the United States of America.”

  • Those excusing or minimizing Kirk’s murder are, in Trump’s words, “out of their minds.”

“He didn’t deserve this. Our country didn’t deserve this,” Trump repeated. And he’s right. Kirk’s death wasn’t just tragic it was symbolic of the cultural rot festering under far-Left extremism, where political violence is tolerated as long as it’s aimed in the "right" direction.

Let’s not forget: while conservatives mourned, radical voices on the Left mocked, defamed, and even celebrated Kirk’s death. From Rep. Ilhan Omar to activist influencers and media pundits, the silence was deafening or worse, it was gleeful.

But Trump made it clear “Charlie’s message has not been silenced. It now is bigger and better and stronger than ever before, and it’s not even close.”

This is about more than Charlie. It’s about all of us.

  • It’s about the millions of young Americans who found courage through Kirk’s leadership.

  • It’s about freedom of speech that’s under siege on college campuses and in the digital public square.

  • It’s about the unmistakable pattern of targeting conservatives with censorship, cancellation and now violence.

Charlie Kirk gave his life defending truth in a time of cowardice. He was a warrior, a mentor, a believer in America’s promise. And his death must be a turning point.

President Trump closed with a warning and a challenge: if they can kill Charlie for his ideas, they can come for any one of us next. But we must never give in.
