Trump Slams NBC and ABC as Fake News and Backs FCC License Revocation

Donald Trump is once again putting the corrupt corporate media on notice.

In a fiery late-night statement on Sunday, the former president torched NBC and ABC News as “FAKE NEWS” and called for serious consequences going so far as to say he would fully support the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) revoking their broadcast licenses.

“THEY ARE SIMPLY AN ARM OF THE DEMOCRAT PARTY,” Trump posted, referencing what he claimed was 97% negative coverage of his presidency. While the exact number may vary, a Media Research Center study in 2017 found that 92% of network news coverage of Trump’s first 100 days was negative far beyond any normal bias and closer to coordinated political warfare.

Trump didn’t hold back:

• He labeled NBC and ABC as “two of the absolute worst and most biased networks anywhere in the world.”

• He questioned why these corporations aren’t “paying Millions of Dollars a year in LICENSE FEES” for access to American airwaves.

• He added, “Crooked ‘journalism’ should not be rewarded, it should be terminated!!!”

And he’s not wrong to be outraged.

Major networks like NBC and ABC, under the guise of journalism, have become mouthpieces for the Democratic Party. Their so-called “news” coverage consists of daily attacks on Trump, conservatives, and anyone who dares challenge the liberal narrative. They amplify lies, ignore Biden’s scandals, and spin everything to favor the left.

Despite the legal complexities surrounding broadcast licensing since national networks don’t hold FCC licenses directly local affiliates do, and they carry the networks’ programming across the country. These airwaves are public property, and the American people have every right to demand accountability when they’re abused to spread partisan disinformation.

Trump also raised a fair question if networks are making billions while using public broadcast infrastructure, why aren’t they being forced to pay more in licensing and regulatory fees?

This isn’t the first time Trump has taken on the media cartel. He’s already forced a $15 million settlement out of ABC in a defamation lawsuit, and CBS and Paramount Global have recently settled legal claims related to election interference coverage. These victories send a message: the days of slandering conservatives without consequence are over.

While liberal pundits will cry about the First Amendment, the real threat to democracy is a media complex that lies with impunity and shields one political party from scrutiny. It's not journalism it’s propaganda.

The American people deserve truth, not filtered narratives from Manhattan newsrooms. And if these networks can’t do their jobs without playing partisan games, it’s time to pull the plug.
