Trump Makes Headlines with Tesla Purchase to Support Automaker
The president praises Tesla’s innovation while calling out attacks on Musk’s leadership.

President Donald Trump made a bold show of support for Tesla and its CEO, Elon Musk, on Tuesday by purchasing a red Tesla Model S outside the White House. The move comes as Tesla’s stock has faced recent turbulence amid political and economic pressure.
Sitting inside the car, Trump marveled at its technology and design.
“This is a different panel than I’ve ever had, everything’s computer. That’s beautiful. Wow.”
Then, in classic Trump fashion, he quipped:
“You think Biden could get into that car? I don’t think so.”
Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who serves as a senior adviser in Trump’s White House, praised the president’s pro-business policies and made a major announcement about Tesla’s future.
“As a function of the great policies of President Trump and his administration, and as an act of faith in America, Tesla is going to double vehicle output in the United States within the next two years.”
Trump emphasized that Musk has been unfairly targeted for his efforts to eliminate wasteful government spending and push for efficiency.
“I just want people to know that you can’t be penalized for being a patriot, and he’s a great patriot,” Trump said.
Trump also took aim at the economic warfare against Tesla, warning that America’s top innovators shouldn’t be punished for their success.
“I’m going to buy one. Now, here’s the bad news: I’m not allowed to drive because I haven’t driven a car in a long time… but I am going to have it at the White House and I am going to let my staff use it.”
While Biden and the Democrats have worked to sabotage American businesses with overregulation and reckless spending, Trump is proving once again that he stands with American companies and workers.
Tesla’s commitment to doubling U.S. production under Trump’s leadership is yet another sign that the economy is back on track.
