Lindsey Graham Reveals Trump’s $100 Billion Plan to Secure U.S. Border

Incoming administration prioritizes national security with ambitious border and military investments.

Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) announced Sunday that President-elect Donald Trump has a bold $100 billion plan to secure the U.S. border and deport illegal aliens, signaling a top priority for the incoming administration. Graham shared details during an interview on CBS News’ Face The Nation, emphasizing the need for decisive action to address national security concerns.

When asked about the cost of Trump’s border security agenda, Graham confirmed, “$100 billion for border security through reconciliation would be enough to hire ICE agents, create new detention beds, and finish the wall and put technology in place over four years.”

The funds will be part of a broader effort by the Trump administration to overhaul immigration enforcement and strengthen the southern border. This includes deploying advanced technology, expanding detention facilities, and completing the border wall a hallmark of Trump’s first term.

Graham also highlighted a $200 billion investment planned for the military, aimed at bolstering U.S. defenses against threats from adversaries like China. The combined funding packages underscore Trump’s commitment to national security both at home and abroad.

“I have never been more worried about an attack on our homeland than I am now with the rise of ISIS in Afghanistan and wars all over the world,” Graham warned. “You need to secure that border like our life depended on it.”

The senator acknowledged the political hurdles facing the Republican Party, particularly in the House, where Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) is navigating internal debates over a comprehensive security package. Despite these challenges, Graham emphasized the urgency of funding border security to address the escalating risks.

“You need new money to do it,” he stated. “And if we don’t, we’re playing Russian roulette with our own national security.”

As Trump prepares to take office, the $100 billion border plan highlights his administration’s determination to tackle illegal immigration and protect Americans from external threats. By combining robust border measures with a strengthened military, Trump is signaling his intent to restore America’s security and sovereignty.
