Trump’s Border Czar Tells Democrat Governors Protecting Illegal Immigrants To Move Aside

Tom Homan, President-elect Donald Trump’s newly appointed border czar, isn’t mincing words when it comes to Democrat governors who are bent on shielding illegal immigrants within their states. In a fiery interview on Fox News, Homan made it clear that state leaders obstructing federal immigration enforcement would either need to cooperate or get out of the way.

Homan, who previously served as Trump’s acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), made his frustration with Democratic leadership at both the state and city levels abundantly clear. “I’ve been on this network for years complaining about what this administration did to this border,” Homan said. “When the president asked me, ‘Would you come back and fix it?’ Of course. I’d be a hypocrite if I didn’t.”

As the Biden administration’s policies left the border under-resourced, border agents have faced an unprecedented 1.7 million illegal border crossings this fiscal year alone. These numbers, a grim testament to the ongoing crisis, have spurred a renewed push for strict enforcement.
