Trump Vows to Prohibit Transgender Athletes in Women’s Sports

During a Fox News town hall this week, President Donald Trump made it clear that if re-elected, he will ban transgender athletes from competing in women’s sports. Speaking directly to female voters, Trump emphasized that the issue could be resolved easily at the federal level with a simple executive action.

The crowd, predominantly concerned mothers and grandmothers, overwhelmingly agreed with the sentiment, raising their hands in unison when asked if they were worried about men competing in women’s sports.

Linda from Georgia, a grandmother of six girls, expressed her concern not only for her granddaughters' athletic opportunities but also for their safety. “We are very concerned for their safety, not just on the field and the courts, but in their locker rooms as well,” she stated.

Trump’s response was direct and firm: “It’s such an easy question, and everybody in the room, and you know that answer, we’re not going to let it happen.” He reiterated his stance by pointing out recent examples where men, identifying as women, have dominated women’s sports, setting records and, in some cases, causing injury to female athletes.
