Trump Declares ‘America’s Momentum Is Back’ in Historic Address
President touts achievements, delivers emotional moments in record-breaking speech.

President Donald Trump delivered a powerful and uplifting address to Congress on Tuesday night, celebrating America’s resurgence and highlighting his administration’s historic achievements. His speech, which set a record as the longest presidential address to Congress, was filled with bold declarations, emotional tributes, and a clear vision for America’s future.
“Six weeks ago, I stood beneath the dome of this Capitol and proclaimed the dawn of the Golden Age of America,” Trump said. “From that moment on, it has been nothing but swift and unrelenting action to usher in the greatest and most successful era in the history of our country. We have accomplished more in 43 days than most administrations accomplish in four years or eight years and we are just getting started.”
Trump announced that more Americans now believe the country is headed in the right direction than at any time in modern history, marking a staggering 27-point swing since Election Day.
He highlighted nearly 100 Executive Orders and over 400 Executive Actions restoring security, economic strength, and national pride.
Small business optimism saw its largest one-month gain ever recorded, skyrocketing by 41 points.
Trump’s speech wasn’t just about policy it was about people. He honored American heroes, from law enforcement families to courageous survivors.
He surprised 13-year-old brain cancer survivor DJ Daniel by making him an honorary Secret Service agent, bringing the young boy to tears of joy.
Jason Hartley, the son of a fallen police officer, learned from Trump that he had been accepted into West Point, his lifelong dream.
The families of Laken Riley, Jocelyn Nungaray, and firefighter Corey Comperatore victims of illegal immigrant crime and radical violence were recognized as Trump vowed to bring justice.
Trump made it clear that the days of open borders are over.
“The media and our friends in the Democrat Party kept saying we needed new legislation to secure the border but it turned out that all we really needed was a new president,” he quipped, drawing thunderous applause from Republicans.
His administration’s crackdown has already led to the lowest number of illegal border crossings ever recorded. He reaffirmed his stance on taking the fight directly to the Mexican drug cartels, which he has now designated as foreign terrorist organizations.
On trade, Trump reaffirmed his America-first approach: “Whatever they tariff us, we tariff them. Whatever they tax us, we tax them.” His policies are forcing fair trade agreements with key partners.
On Ukraine, he slammed Europe for spending more on Russian oil and gas than on Ukraine’s defense, while Biden continues to funnel billions overseas. Trump vowed to push for a peace deal, ending the senseless loss of life in a war with no clear resolution.
Despite the overwhelmingly positive tone of Trump’s address, Democrats refused to stand or clap even for moments honoring fallen Americans and heroic citizens. At one point, House Speaker Mike Johnson ordered the removal of Democratic Rep. Al Green for disrupting Trump’s speech.
Former White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer summed it up perfectly: “If the Democrats can’t clap for a beautiful 13-year-old boy who wants to become a cop, there’s something really wrong with them.”
Trump’s speech left Americans energized and hopeful. “I have not clapped that much in my entire life,” said conservative host Matt Walsh, who was in attendance.
With momentum back on America’s side, Trump made one thing clear: this is only the beginning.
