Jim Jordan Highlights Free Speech as Common Ground for Trump, Musk, RFK, and Gabbard

Key voices join forces, spotlighting free speech as a top priority for Trump’s second term.

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) emphasized in a recent interview that a surprising coalition of President-elect Donald Trump’s supporters including figures not traditionally aligned with Republicans has come together to defend one core principle: free speech. During a Sunday appearance on CNN’s “State of the Union” with Dana Bash, Jordan highlighted how Donald Trump, Elon Musk, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and Tulsi Gabbard have unified over the issue, each recognizing the urgency of protecting the First Amendment.

Jordan explained that Trump’s upcoming term will be marked by a firm commitment to protecting Americans' freedoms, starting with free speech, which has been under increasing attack. According to Jordan, this coalition underscores how critical the First Amendment is to Trump’s agenda, as well as to Americans who feel silenced by Big Tech and government censorship. “Did you ever think you’d see Donald Trump, Elon Musk, RFK Jr., and Tulsi Gabbard on the same team?” he asked. “They’re on the same team because of the attack on free speech.”

Priorities for Trump’s Second Term:

  • Securing the Border: Jordan noted that Trump’s approach to border security will be paramount, as he intends to stem the flow of illegal immigration, which has surged under the current administration.

  • Addressing Inflation: Trump plans to tackle inflation head-on, aiming to alleviate the financial strain on middle- and working-class families who have been hit hard by skyrocketing prices in recent years.

  • Commonsense Energy Policy: Under Trump’s leadership, America’s energy independence and a return to rational energy policies will help stabilize both the economy and energy markets, according to Jordan.

  • Protecting the First Amendment: Jordan emphasized that the coalition of Trump, Musk, Kennedy, and Gabbard is deeply rooted in their shared concern for free speech, which they believe is under attack from both governmental agencies and powerful corporations.

Jordan’s comments come at a time when concerns over Big Tech censorship, media bias, and free speech restrictions have reached a boiling point. With these influential voices united, Trump’s administration appears set on making free speech a focal point of his leadership, bringing together those who recognize the vital importance of protecting Americans’ rights to speak, question, and express dissent.

As the new administration begins to take shape, it’s clear that free speech will be defended by a powerful coalition willing to push back against the forces attempting to restrict it.
