Tom Homan Urges DOJ Action After AOC Tells Illegal Immigrants How to Evade ICE

Border Czar Tom Homan isn’t backing down after calling for the Department of Justice to investigate Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) for advising illegal aliens on how to evade federal immigration authorities. His message is simple: at what point does this cross into criminal obstruction?

During an interview on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Homan doubled down when asked if AOC’s actions warranted prosecution.

• AOC is not just giving legal advice she’s actively helping fugitives evade capture. The individuals she’s advising are not simply undocumented immigrants; they are convicted criminals with final deportation orders who have already exhausted their due process.

• This is not about "know your rights." AOC’s guidance boils down to how to avoid law enforcement telling criminals with deportation orders not to open their doors or answer questions. As Homan put it, “This is more about how they evade law enforcement, rather than know their rights.”

• The consequences of these actions can be deadly. Homan warned that shielding illegal immigrants from ICE can have tragic consequences, referencing the murder of Georgia nursing student Laken Riley by an illegal alien who had previously been arrested in New York but was released due to lax policies.

Perhaps the most ridiculous part of this entire debacle? AOC had the audacity to claim that Homan was only “vaguely” familiar with immigration law. Homan, who has spent 40 years in immigration enforcement, shut that down immediately:

“I forgot more about immigration law than AOC will ever know.”

And he’s right. AOC and the radical left are not interested in enforcing the law. They actively work to undermine it. They advocate for open borders while attacking law enforcement officers doing their jobs. They fight for illegal immigrants while ignoring the devastating consequences for American citizens.

The Biden administration and its allies in Congress have turned a blind eye to the crisis at our southern border. But now, they’re doing something even worse: helping criminals evade law enforcement.

If the DOJ won’t take action, it’s clear where their priorities lie. They’re more interested in prosecuting political opponents than enforcing actual laws.
