Tim Walz Warns of ‘Civil War’ and Destroys What Little Credibility He Had Left

As ICE cracks down on rampant fraud in his state, Minnesota’s failed governor embraces chaos, defends lawlessness, and dares to speak of “morality.”

Facing a statewide scandal and a collapsing political career, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz is now reaching for the last tool left in the far-left playbook: hysteria.

On Thursday, Walz took the national spotlight not to apologize for the massive welfare fraud in his state, not to acknowledge the millions stolen from American taxpayers, and certainly not to cooperate with federal agents working to restore order but to invoke the Civil War in defense of lawless anti-ICE protests.

“It feels to me like we’re at one of those inflection points,” Walz said, before claiming Minnesota is “holding the line on democracy.”

This bizarre rhetoric more suited to a Berkeley faculty lounge than a state capitol comes as the Trump administration sends ICE into Minneapolis to arrest illegal immigrants linked to organized fraud and potential terrorism financing. Rather than support the rule of law, Walz chose to eulogize Renee Good, a known anti-ICE agitator who used her vehicle to obstruct and threaten federal agents calling on Minnesotans to “rise up.”

Let’s be clear about what’s actually happening here:

  • ICE agents are enforcing arrest warrants for illegal immigrants with criminal records.

  • Good, a member of the radical “ICE Watch” group, used her car to block and strike agents before being lawfully shot in self-defense.

  • DHS has reported a 1,300% increase in assaults, a 3,200% increase in vehicular attacks, and an 8,000% rise in death threats against ICE officers.

Despite all this, Walz continues to paint law enforcement as the villain. “We expect accountability of our elected leaders,” he said without a hint of irony, as he dodges responsibility for the fraud disaster that forced him to abandon his re-election campaign.

That fraud, by the way, now totals hundreds of millions of dollars and centers around fake daycare centers and welfare abuse tied to the Somali immigrant community a community the left has labeled off-limits for investigation, no matter how deep the corruption runs.

Walz’s moral compass has been broken for years. This is the same man who, during the 2020 BLM riots, let Minneapolis burn under his watch, paralyzed by political cowardice. And just last year, he claimed that China a communist surveillance state might be the world's new moral authority.

“It might be the Chinese,” Walz said in 2023, seriously questioning whether the U.S. could be trusted as a global force for good.

Now that same man is telling Minnesotans to stand against ICE and talking about “rising up” to protect “human dignity.” But here’s the reality:

  • You do not have a constitutional right to be in this country illegally.

  • You do not have the right to obstruct federal agents enforcing court-ordered warrants.

  • And you certainly don’t get to lecture anyone about morality when your own administration let an entire state-funded fraud network grow unchecked for years.

Tim Walz has no moral authority left. Not after the riots. Not after praising China. And not after losing control of his own state to political corruption and activist-driven governance.

He is not holding the line he’s erasing it, and daring the rest of the country to stop him.

And that’s exactly what the Trump administration is now doing.
