Ted Cruz Blasts Leftist Rhetoric After ICE Facility Shooting

Senator Ted Cruz is sounding the alarm after another politically motivated attack on federal immigration officers in Texas this time at an ICE facility in Dallas, where a gunman left behind shell casings engraved with “ANTI-ICE” before killing himself.

Speaking at a press conference hours after the shooting, Cruz delivered a passionate warning to America: this growing tide of leftist-fueled violence isn’t just rhetoric anymore it’s bloodshed.

“This needs to stop. Violence is wrong. Politically motivated violence is wrong,” Cruz said. “This is the third shooting in Texas directed at ICE or CBP. This must stop.”

The incident, which left multiple ICE detainees dead, comes amid a disturbing surge in attacks against immigration enforcement. On July 4th, anarchist extremists dressed in military gear attacked another ICE facility in Alvarado, Texas, using fireworks to draw officers outside before opening fire. One police officer was shot in the neck. Just weeks later, a man walked into the Dallas ICE center claiming to have a bomb strapped to his body. And on July 7th, a shooter targeted a Border Patrol office in McAllen.

Cruz didn’t hesitate to connect the dots:

• Left-wing politicians have repeatedly demonized ICE and CBP officers as “fascists” and “Nazis.”

• Far-left agitators distribute fliers declaring “FIGHT ICE TERROR WITH CLASS WAR.”

• Activists on social media openly call for ICE agents to be doxxed, harassed, and targeted.

“To every politician who is using rhetoric demonizing ICE and CBP stop,” Cruz urged. “Your political opponents are not Nazis.”

This isn’t a coincidence. It’s a consequence. The radical Left has spent years dehumanizing immigration enforcement officers while pushing policies that leave our border wide open. From calls to “abolish ICE” to legislation that turns sanctuary cities into lawless zones, the message has been loud and clear federal law enforcement is the enemy.

And now, thanks to that message, we have real victims.

Senator Cruz also invoked the recent assassination of Turning Point USA Founder Charlie Kirk in Utah, tying it to a larger pattern of politically driven violence that’s being ignored or quietly encouraged by the Left.

“We need to learn to work together without demonizing each other... without attacking the men and women who risk their lives to keep us safe.”

Despite the horror of this week’s attack, Cruz reminded Americans that the solution isn’t complicated: restore basic decency, support law enforcement, and end the dangerous rhetoric that treats political disagreement as justification for violence.

Meanwhile, the Biden administration remains silent.

ICE agents are under siege. Federal buildings are being targeted. Police officers are getting shot. And still no statement, no visit, no action from the White House.

This is the tragic cost of lawlessness. The Left’s war on ICE has escalated from slogans to shootouts. It’s time to shut it down.
