Taliban Stages Military Parade, Highlights Biden-Harris Afghanistan Withdrawal

The world was starkly reminded of the Biden-Harris administration's catastrophic withdrawal from Afghanistan this week as the Taliban showcased billions of dollars worth of U.S. military hardware in a brazen parade. The parade took place near Bagram Air Base, once a symbol of American military power in the region, now a chilling testament to the current administration's failure.

In full view of the world, the Taliban paraded U.S. military vehicles, helicopters, and a staggering array of weaponry through the streets of Afghanistan. The consequences of this botched operation have reverberated far beyond Afghanistan. The chaotic retreat projected a dangerous image of American weakness, emboldening adversaries around the globe. It is no coincidence that just six months later, Russian President Vladimir Putin felt confident enough to launch his brutal invasion of Ukraine.

To add insult to injury, the Biden administration has done little to address the growing threat posed by the reconstitution of Islamic terrorist groups in Afghanistan. These groups have been rapidly expanding since the U.S. withdrawal, posing a renewed threat to global security.
