Stephen Miller Calls Russiagate a Criminal Coup Against Trump

In a scathing Sunday interview, former White House senior advisor Stephen Miller declared that the so-called Russiagate scandal wasn’t just political dirty tricks it was a criminal conspiracy designed to overthrow President Donald Trump from within the U.S. government.

“It was a coup. And I’m using that term literally,” Miller told Sunday Morning Futures host Maria Bartiromo. “It meets the criminal elements of a conspiracy against the government.”

The remarks come amid renewed focus on declassified documents showing that Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign approved efforts to falsely link Trump to Russia in an attempt to distract from her own mounting email scandal. The disinformation was then weaponized by career operatives inside the Obama-era FBI and intelligence agencies turning America’s law enforcement apparatus against a duly elected president.

Former CIA Director John Brennan and Director of National Intelligence James Clapper attempted to brush off the allegations in a New York Times op-ed, citing the same Mueller report that failed to link Trump to any criminal conspiracy. But Miller didn’t let them off the hook.

“If we continue to create the impression and the reality that there is not a severe criminal penalty for such conduct, it will never stop,” he warned.

Miller supported Attorney General Pam Bondi’s newly launched DOJ “strike force,” aimed at investigating the coordinated use of manipulated intelligence, fraudulent materials, and politically motivated prosecution tactics.

He also agreed with former CIA Director John Ratcliffe’s legal assessment that statutes of limitations are not a barrier in this case because the conspiracy to undermine Trump is still ongoing through many of the same entrenched bureaucratic actors.

“The entire security apparatus of this country was focused on a hoax,” Miller said. “It was one egregious felony after another.”

This isn’t just about political sabotage it’s about the systematic abuse of federal power to crush political opponents, silence a movement, and rig the narrative. If unelected bureaucrats can fabricate evidence, launder disinformation through the media, and weaponize the DOJ to take down a sitting president, we’re no longer living in a republic.

It’s long past time for consequences.
