Shonda Rhimes Resigns After Trump Takes Over Kennedy Center Board

Hollywood elites are in full panic mode after President Donald Trump took over as chairman of the Kennedy Center board, prompting high-profile resignations from leftist figures who had long used the institution to push their agendas.

Shonda Rhimes, a former Obama appointee and the board’s treasurer, was among the first to jump ship. The television producer made a quick exit after Trump fired most of the board, including billionaire David Rubenstein, and announced sweeping reforms to bring the Kennedy Center back to its original mission: celebrating American arts and culture, not radical activism.

Following Rhimes’ resignation, singer Ben Folds and actress Renée Fleming also announced their departures, showing that the usual leftist crowd wanted no part in an organization they could no longer control.

Their outrage came after Trump vowed to end taxpayer-funded drag shows targeting children and eliminate woke programming from the Kennedy Center’s agenda.

Under years of Democrat mismanagement, the Kennedy Center’s finances spiraled into disaster. Ric Grenell, who is serving as interim president, revealed the shocking state of affairs:

• “ZERO cash on hand. ZERO in reserves.”

• Deferred maintenance has become a crisis.

• Executive salaries were out of control. The former president was making a staggering $1.4 million per year, and the general counsel was raking in over $500,000.

Grenell wasted no time cutting $2.4 million in bloated salaries on his first day. While Democrats funneled money into outrageous executive pay, the institution was running on debt reserves.

With the old regime gone, Trump is set to restore the Kennedy Center to its rightful place as a celebration of true American talent. His decisive action signals the end of taxpayer-funded leftist activism disguised as “art.”
