Schumer Threatens FCC Complaint Over Trump’s '60 Minutes' Interview

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer is throwing a fit and now he's threatening to file a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) complaint against CBS over President Donald Trump’s unfiltered return to 60 Minutes.

On Monday morning, Schumer posted on X (formerly Twitter), sarcastically suggesting he may file an FCC complaint because Trump’s interview was, in his words, “unhinged.” But the subtext couldn’t be clearer: Schumer and the Left are furious that President Trump got to speak directly to the American people without their usual media gatekeepers controlling the narrative.

“Maybe I should file a complaint with the FCC against the Trump White House for editing his unhinged 60 Minutes interview,” Schumer wrote.

The irony is staggering. This is the same Chuck Schumer who said nothing when CBS deceptively edited Kamala Harris’ embarrassing, rambling “word salad” in 2024 to make her sound coherent ahead of the election. At the time, Trump called out the blatant manipulation, demanding accountability. Now that the tables have turned, and Trump’s message is breaking through, the Democrats are crying foul.

Here’s what Schumer is really upset about:

• Trump used his 60 Minutes appearance to reassert strong leadership on issues like China, Venezuela, and national security.

• He refused to give away U.S. military secrets live on air something the Biden team would have fumbled.

• CBS gave Trump a platform, and he dominated it, exposing just how weak and rattled the Democrat Party has become.

The Left can’t stand that the American people got to see Trump unfiltered, without the typical media spin. So now, they’re leaning on regulatory threats and FCC complaints a clear attempt to silence dissent under the guise of “fairness.”

Let’s also not forget that CBS and its parent company Paramount already paid Trump $16 million in a settlement over that very Kamala Harris editing scandal. And following that payout, CBS quietly updated its editorial standards, now requiring unedited transcripts for future interviews with presidential candidates. Translation: Trump won, and they know it.

The Democrats used to love 60 Minutes as long as it was carrying water for their agenda. Now that the tide is turning, they’re panicking. Schumer's complaint isn’t about journalistic integrity it’s about control. They know that Trump is back, stronger than ever, and they're desperate to stop the momentum.
