Schumer Denies Democrats Misled Americans About Biden’s Mental Fitness

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) is refusing to acknowledge that Democrats misled the American people about President Joe Biden’s declining mental acuity, despite mounting evidence and years of public concern.

During an interview on NBC’s Meet The Press, Schumer was confronted with his own past statements where he dismissed questions about Biden’s cognitive health as “right-wing propaganda.”

Host Kristen Welker played a clip of Schumer from last year, where he insisted, “His mental acuity is great. It’s fine. It’s as good as it’s been over the years.”

Welker then asked, “What do you say to Americans who feel as though you and other top Democrats misled them about President Biden’s mental acuity?”

Schumer flatly denied the accusation. “No. Look, we didn’t,” he claimed before pivoting to Biden’s legislative record. Instead of addressing Biden’s fitness for office, Schumer touted the administration’s judicial appointments and spending bills.

When asked if Biden could have won reelection had he remained in the race, Schumer dodged again. “I’m not going to speculate,” he said, refusing to acknowledge growing concerns from voters and even fellow Democrats about Biden’s ability to serve another term.

For years, Democrats and their media allies aggressively shut down any discussion of Biden’s cognitive decline, dismissing concerns as conspiracy theories. Now, with Biden stepping aside, the question remains: Did Democrats knowingly mislead the American people to maintain their grip on power?

Schumer’s evasiveness only fuels suspicion that party leadership was fully aware of Biden’s limitations but chose to cover it up. As more Democrats scramble to distance themselves from the Biden presidency, the truth about what they knew and when they knew it may soon come to light.
