While Salt Lake City may not immediately come to mind when discussing crime-ridden areas, Utah’s capital has seen a 16% increase in violent crime over the past year, according to FBI data. Like many other cities, it’s showing signs of what happens when progressive criminal justice “reforms” are prioritized over public safety.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has expressed concern and is cooperating with investigators. But let’s be clear: no community, no matter how peaceful, is immune from the consequences of a government that refuses to enforce the law.
